Recently put two on the front of a VW Passat R Line having previously used on a Fabia VRS. Only done 4000 miles so far but negligible wear and good grip with smoother rider than previous conti sport contacts. Excellent price compared to some premium brands, however it all comes down to personal choice I guess.

Cannot recommend them highly enough- especially Stuart. Bought a new Octavia RS TDI estate, and a base Fabia. Helpful, knowledgeable and curteous staff, good pricing and kept promises. Will definitely deal with them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Do you think the **** in the picture is the owner / mate / opportunist thief? I wouldn't buy that- thrashed within an inch if its life....

Getting a VRS - Metalic paint or Jumbo ?
gavinvrs replied to twonks's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
If you order it now like I have just done- Skoda are including 18s and the dual zone climate, e/wins and jumbo pack for free! Just traded in the Fabia VRS for a race blue Octavia TDI VRS estate. If you take on finance you also get free servicing. Pick it up in a weeks time! -
Was at West End Garage near Edinburgh getting the car serviced yesterday- they have the automotive equivalent of porn. White 07 plate Octavia VRS Estate in white with 18s- fantastic looking machine that seems to be a cancelled police order- don't think that they will sell it though... Unfortunately didn't have camera- but next time I pass...

Quote Autocar and their longtermer- "we managed consistent times of 8.2 sec, and one incredible, but genuine non wind assisted run of 7.2 sec"... -
If I happen to pass, I'll be sure to take a pic and post it- not normally a fan of anthracite wheels, so will be interested to see...

Broxburn is near Edinburgh mate. Sounds a cracking car, may have to swing past to have a look...

Does that mean that you have no warranty cover now awginger? No service schedule= no warranty? Right or wrong.
-
I would be pretty happy with an opening offer like that. As Stu said- the vast majority of policies automatically replace the vehicle in year 1.

Anyone seen this yet? New Fabia...
gavinvrs replied to flatfourfurby's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Auto Express magazine this week has a feature on the forthcoming Fabia. -
We have had a spate of incidents of dodgy barstewards gaining entry to houses and robbing old folks around here. Even if he had of been genuine and not followed company procedure I would have done exactly the same thing. It is really not worth the risk
