Cheers. Looks beyond me but hopefully will mean something to my auto electrician

The passenger side lock pops back up when I lock the car and the only option is then to open the door and manually push it back down. My car has been in for a service today so I asked them to check and it seems it is the solenoid needs replacing for which they are looking at in excess of £200 including labour. I can see many parts on line that are considerably cheaper. How universal are these if I pick one up and ask my auto electrician to fit (his labour charges are very reasonable!!!) Thanks

I need to top up (from minimum on dipstick) the engine oil for my superb. It has a CAT and not a DPF. Which type oil should I put in?

I have to replace a rear parking sensor on my 57 plate 2.5 Tdi v6. The garage can fit a vw part which is £69 pound but will also happily fit an after market product. How do I know the part number in order to ensure compatability Thanks
