Cheers. Just after posting I found a s3 breaking locally and done a deal on the upper and lower braces.

Anyone ever make a lower one themselves? I'm thinking 40mm x 4mm steel from b&q but need measurements if anyone has one lying round? Edit, it has bends I believe....

Did you feel any improvement after fitting? Anyone have there's dynoed before and after? I've been offered a perfect forge tip for €100, dunno whether it's needed after reading the forums. My car is not mapped, yet.

Well did the fuel filter sort the problem? I've the same symptoms....

Same here...My passenger door always locks with the key but bounces up when I use the interior central locking button on the drivers door. Interested to find a solution too!

I have this clanking noise coming from the rear passenger side of the vrs. It sounds like if you hit two thin metal rods together. I happens when driving off in first and second up to about 10mph on flat or uneven road. I've had a look and can't see the probem, any ideas?

Just for future reference for anyone with the same problem. I bought this vrs from the OP. The 377 relay was the problem. When I took it off and opened it there was soot on one of the inside contacts. Sanded it off and working perfectly again. Hi guys, I got a EML on the dash, I haven't read the codes but a nose around reveals a split pipe on the right of the engine. Can you tell me what the pipe is and would the split cause an EML and what effect it would have power wise? The previous owner did point out a duct-tape repair on the top of the pipe but the major split is at a junction lower down. How difficult is it to change? It's my first turbo...
