Thank you to everyone for your comments regarding my dilemma about engine choice - They have been most useful in helping me to make up my mind about whether or not to change the engine spec for my new Yeti. It is apparent that the majority of comments were in favour of the 170 and it was useful to know also about the bigger brakes.
With all of this in mind and indeed responding to my own gut reaction, I have been in contact with the local dealership who following my instruction were able to change my factory order to the 170 engine.
At least in the future I will have peace of mind and won't be thinking I should have gone for the more powerful engine - It just remains now for me to wait until the new vehicle arrives which hopefully will be sometime in April.
