i really really wish it had electric folding mirrors,simple lil thing but dead handy.

My wifes getting 44.9mpg from her PD vrs on a 25 mile a day round trip. Not to bad id say,its a 57 plate and its just done 7000 miles so iam hoping it may go up a little bit?. On a long day out in the summer i had 55.7mpg on a 200 mile trip,that i was very happy with.

Thanks cheeze,i think i will bite the bullet an let Whitedove do this first service then use the VAG specialist i use the rest of the time,that should,like you say sort any issues they find? sorted,cheers again.

Hi,iam a little stuck on my service schedule. I purchased my car back in march (mk2 octy tdi vrs,57plate) with a little over 4000 miles on it. They told me at the time it would be given a once over before i picked it up including a service. Given the fact i had the car from Whitedove in Cardiff i really dont trust they did a service as there is no stamp in the book. Having brought the car on their HP do i need to take it back to them? or can i use my normal gararge that does my leon? Also as the car now has just over 6000 miles on it what should the service intail? has it gone through the running in stage yet? would this intail anything else?. Sorry for all the questions but i really dont know what to do! haha. Any feed back/ advice would be very much appreciated,cheers.

Well ive been clean since 1998 when i started driving at the age of 18,29 now,and had a lovely letter this morning saying ive been caught doing 43 in a 30. Sad thing is ive always done 40 on that bit of road thinking that was the limit when its been 30 all along! lol not bad going really. Oh and i did once race a police car back in my nova days,it was an unmarked astra,i some how got away with that by saying they started it!? It worked to,they dropped the case! that was doing around 90/100mph in a 30 but it was 4 in the morning,street racing.........naughty naughty.

I have them on my vRS,I LOVE THEM! pretty much my fav thing on the car,they really do take the strain off night time driving,get them,its well worth it.

Yeah mine covers the first say 20 inchs of the bonnet.It does show as it does tend to trap a little line of dirt,when its clean it blends in pretty well,but like i said SO much better than chips!

Hello,i have this on my octy,i think mine is armourGuard or something.It cost me around £250,thats for the front of the car,bonnet,bumper,wings,lights inc fogs,wing mirrors and the top edge of the rear bumper. To be honest there is a line on the car that i clean with a very soft toothbrush just to get the white line of wax out. In all iam glad i have it,its way better than having chipped paint in my view and there are a few "dinks" low down in it that iam sure would be a chip/dent if it wasnt there. Hope that helps.

Cheers gents,cheers clay but iam well aware of the wonder that is Whitedove,i was asked to leave there before when i had a issue with the leon,they are shocking! I think with the exhaust its going to end up being custom code or something,i want the DPF removal an remap.

Alright everyone,just a quickie. Where do you take your cars in and around Cardiff to get serviced/any type of mods done? I always used westec for my leon but they turned into silly buggers so i aint been back. Now i also have an octy 2 vrs pd tdi i will be looking to get the exhaust and what not done soonish.Any pointers an i would be very gratefull,cheers now.
