  1. Hi everyone I have had a few close calls recently (motorway muppets) and have decided I want to get a dashcam / in car CCTV. I did an e-bay / Amazon search and to say there are a lot of options is an understatement. Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent solution (happy to pay about £100). My next question is how best to power it without having wires everywhere. I have an Estate mark II, L&K with the 170 engine. Any suggestions / help most welcome. Regards
  2. Same for me. I was due a 30k service and they did the remap at the same time. It was only after the fact I thought, is this going to alter the performance / econ. Have since added 3.5k miles to the car (couple of round trips to London from Scotland) and have noticed no change in either performance or fuel consumption.
  3. The Interior is fine. I have 3 kids (10, 12 and 16) who have managed to mark it but a damp cloth sorts it out. I have been getting lots of looks although mostly from the local taxi drivers lol.
  4. I realised as soon as I posted it but don't know if it can be moved. Maybe one of the admins can help.
  5. I just posted a load more pics although I think may have put it in the wrong place. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/356161-superb-mkii-2015-lk-cr170-magnetic-brown-ivory-leather-18-sirius-bi-colour-wheels/
  6. It finally arrived. A hour after I got it I put 426 miles on it as I had to drive from Greenock to Southampton. It took the drive in it's stride and I did not ache at all afterwards. Really pleased with my choice of company car. I will post some more pictures when I get a chance.

  8. I placed my order mid December, was quoted 6 months, arrived in 5. I was told by our dealer that they were loading up orders for the Mark II and then stopping production to swap to the Mark III. No idea if this is true but that's what they said. I was also told my car is one of the last mark II's to be made. Again, no idea if this is true,
  9. Thanks all. I have been on international business for the past 2 years so I have been in rental cars for ages. I had a Lexus for 3 years before that so I'm out of practice for checking a new car. I have made a list and will no doubt annoy the hell out of the delivery driver when he turns up at the house on Tuesday.
  10. I was thinking that but wanted to know if there was anything that was a "must". If anything comes up I know where you all are :-) It's Magnetic Brown metallic with the Ivory leather and piano black inserts.
  11. Hello All. The (company) car I ordered back in December is being delivered next week. Kind of sad that I could not have waited for the new model but such is life. It's an L&K Estate 170PS manual. I will need to read though the manual and get acquainted with everything but is there anything you can suggest I do / don't do in the first few days / weeks? I will add some pictures once I have it on the drive.
  12. The DSG is great and here it comes....but.... It's less fuel efficient than the manual. OK. In real life this may not be the case and it will always depend on your style of driving but us company car drivers get taxed on the official figures and the DSG officially gives off more CO2. That means a higher tax band and more money out of my pocket and in the hands of the tax man. Companies also get WAY less tax relief to write the car down over time so in some cases you are not even allowed to order it as an option. Until this changes most company car drivers (and lets be honest, taxi drivers) won't take it as an option. Using comcar.co.uk and comparing the exact same car (2.0D 170PS) with and without the DSG box you get the following differences. Manual DSG MPG 60.1 53.3 Co2 g/km 122 138 Corp Tax 18% 8% Yes this is the 21st century but sadly automatic / DSG boxes are not as good as a manual when it comes to fuel economy. Only when it does will more people take the option than don't.
  13. Thanks for the help. Makes things a lot clearer for me. I should have known that there was a parcel shelf (I agree it's not really a shelf) that came as standard but I honestly read everything and could not find a clear answer. I tried to argue that the automatic boot was a safety feature (bad back) but got no joy. I was well under my budget but the option is considered as a "luxury" item. That made me laugh. The entire car is a luxury item let alone the L&K spec.
  14. My fleet manager just informed me I can't order the electric boot option with parcel shelf. (long story). I see there is a retractable parcel shelf (Automatically retracts when the boot opens) also as an option. My question is does the car have any parcel shelf at all as standard? I test drove an Elegance that had one but I was made aware the car had a few extra options added that were not standard on the Elegance so I am not sure what is what. Any help / advice most welcome.
  15. I am one of those new company car drivers. Audi, BMW, Mercedes and VW just can't compete when it comes to value for money. With the budget I had and wanting to keep my P11D as low as possible the Superb was really the only choice. I just ordered an L&K estate in magnetic brown with the ivory leather. The only option above the standard spec I really wanted was the auto boot closer. I wish I could have hung on until the Superb III was available but sadly I can't.
  16. Hello All I am new to the site and to Skoda's. I have recently changed jobs and have had to choose a new company car. Although I had a wide range to choose from the P11D on the usual high spec suspects was crazy when compared to a similar spec Skoda. So after a lot of test drives and traipsing the family round car dealers I have settled on the Superb Estate. I have found the site very informative and helpful and it really helped me make up my mind as to the car I should choose. Regards Keltic
