  3. I never like to use the word gr*ve here, some of our members are so damn old ,i'm pretty sure they're posting via a medium.
  4. I've never bought a pair of glasses from Reading, are they something new?will they give me superhuman powers ?
  5. I'd ban her from driving, not because she' a woman, and she's driving [although that should be enough of a reason..lol] and not for her wiper-weirdness,but for the more serious offence of driving a VW Caddy.
  6. Yes,hurry up Hyphons, some of us are at that dangerous age where we have one foot in the gravy almost...lol Sheesh...young uns,no sense of urgency,manyana,manyana........
  7. Best of luck to you, although your are going to New Zealand in difficult circumstances its a great country with wonderful people and scenery, you'll love it.
  8. Yep i found that with my Roomster, but i appreciate the built in footrest by the clutch on long journeys.
  9. Obviously the work of the devil :peek:
  10. Thats a stunning colour/wax job,mate
  11. There's a lot of it about,i blame it on the birth of the royal baby. :p
  12. When you say the TSI are you talking the 1.4 petrol 85/86bhp old model ? If so thats what i have and in all honesty i wouldn't recommend it if you are only doing short trips to the shops,it takes about 8 miles for the engine to warm up,in the meantime its drinking petrol from cold. The economy for short trips is not good at all,on longer trips its much better on fuel but its very underpowered off the line and accelerating from junctions, as the bloody ECU starves it of petrol when you floor it to pull away quickly, which in my view is damn dangerous and has given me more than a few heartstopping moments.
  13. In a lot of Eurozone and other international markets they are bought just as much by the trendy mountainbiker outdoorsy types as they are by families and older drivers. They are great cars, you'll love yours....i prromise you :|
  14. Epic looking beastie of an engine  :|
  15. You could check for Briskoda members close to where you live who offer diagnostics for a couple of beers.
  16. Even so,i'm suprised they qualify for such a low group from the insurance companies without an alarm and immobiliser factory fitted as standard.
  17. The happiest driving day of my life was when some blind old duffer drove into me and wrote off our Saxo...woo hoo....result.Dreadful car, roofline so low i smashed my head every time i hit a bump and a twitchy chassis.
  18. Mine doen't like revving, its still a bit tight from 30mph pootling by its 2 former lady owners, its starting to loosen bit by bit but i'm thinking the hesitancy is an ECU engine protection thing ie emissions controller stopping full power being made available.
  19. Ow do,me ald Flower...lol Welcome to Briskoda.
  20. Its ludicrous that the repair kit is no longer available, unless VAG re-design and eliminate a known problem, they have no right to delete the repair kit.Its time they pulled their finger out and had a serious look at updating quite a few of their badly designed components.Expensive, labour intensive, main stealer solutions are not what the average Skoda customer is happy with.
  21. Good to hear all is well with the car,its a looker for sure. :|
  22. No loose women? No beer tent?...............next you'll be telling me there's no pie stall !!! :peek: :|
