  1. Hi Will I be ok increasing the sidewall size from 50 to 55 on a Karoq? The standard size on my wheels is 225/50/18 and I was thinking of going upto 225/55/18. Has anyone tried this? Thanks
  2. Seems like a good price to me. I paid £25k for an almost identical car in December 2017. Mine was delivery mileage. No pano roof, but Canton and black pack
  3. I wouldn’t bother, I did it on mine but ended up reversing the method as I didn’t see the benefit. I find the LED adaptive lights do a better job. I enabled High Beam Assist too, I quite like that.
  4. I have Xtremes fitted with 235/35/19 Avon ZZ5. I also have a DTUK box and pedal box. Mine is a VRS 4x4 and so no issue with wheel spin. I’ve found the Avons to be more than adequate and next month am driving all the way to Portugal and back. They wear quicker than some premium brands, but are comfortable, offer some rim protection and are only around £90 per tyre.
  5. which insurer were you using? are you now using the pedal box and tuning box together? if so, whats that like?
  6. Hi, I've just purchased a Tri channel DTUK box (not yet fitted) and I've been doing some insurance quotes/ research. I'm currently with Admiral and when I phoned them they said NO, they could not cover at all. I've done comparison websites and entered the modification as 'chipped/ engine management system' (that's the only option available to tick) and prices are coming out at around £700. LV and Admiral both quoted with this modification selected I phoned LV (previously mentioned on here and recommended by DTUK) and they said they couldn't cover it. Even though they quoted via GOCompare. I phoned Adrian Flux who quoted £1080. I'm almost 35 with 10 years no claims so these quotes seem very high to me! If it's going to cost £1000 to insure then I don't think I'll be fitting it afterall....... Can I ask what other people have actually described it as? Thanks
  7. Hi I know this has been covered before. I’m on my third Octavia VRS estate and neither of the previous 2 had any issues with pressure. my current car (Facelift 2017) has an awful issue. Ears hurting etc, when I slightly lower the rear windows (just a crack) you can hear air being sucked. Is there a definitive fix for this?
  8. Hi Ive been getting a warning message for the last few days informing me that ‘skoda adaptive lane guidance’ is not available and then today started with a warning telling me that the 12V battery is low. The car is only a few months old and not had any electrical issues before. I have a hardwired dashcam and I fitted a voltage protector. Again, had no issues previously. Any ideas? Thanks
  9. Wonder whether this issue with the website would prevent the dongle connecting?
  10. Any idea who I can contact do help with a faulty dongle? It’s not very clear form the Facebook site
  11. Anyone tried to connect today? I’ve spent an hour trying to get my dongle to connect with no luck. I’ve tried to reach the website but that seems dead and the forum page won’t load either. Has anyone else tried? thanks
  12. Nope - no water comes out. Car has winter pack, not sure if that heats the headlamp washers too or just the windscreen ones?
  13. It would appear it’s definitely broken. Started the car up this morning, the passenger side one works straight away. The drivers side one does nothing. Tried pouring warm water on it and no joy. if I manually pull the drivers side unit out and let it retract, it doesn’t retract all the way in either. Bit disappointing on a car that’s done 4000 Miles. How will it cope with my drive to the alps next week if it can’t handle a bit of Yorkshire snow. could it be a fuse?
  14. Thanks, I’ll maybe try sticking some warm water through them
  15. Ok, I hope this is the case but how do people get on in countries where it’s much colder than this for months of the year?
  16. I don’t think it’s frozen as I can manually pull it out
  17. I don’t think so - I’m worried that the motor has burnt out. is there a fuse for each side?
  18. My drivers side headlamp washer has stopped working. The passenger side is fine, any ideas?
  19. Looking for advice - I have a 2017 VRS and have made a few tweaks using OBDeleven (disabled stop/start etc), could someone please tell me whether I need to wipe all of the changes prior to taking the car in for a service? Thanks
  20. They are NOISY cars!! This is the 3rd I’ve had. VRS man estate 2014, VRS 4x4 DSG estate 2016 and VRS 4x4 DSG estate 2017 All have suffered from road noise and the 2 4X4 DSGs have been just generally noisy from the start. Transmission/ road noise/ lack of insulation etc...... My gearbox is very whiny when driving under 10mph in 2nd gear (on cul-de-sacs etc...) You get used to it. The Superb is much better and keeping the noise at bay. My new car strangely doesn’t have front assist fitted (which my last pre FL did) or light assist. It was a dealer order and built back in August.
  21. Haha, yes it’s great. I picked mine up with 4 winter tyres and it was unstoppable. Actually it may have been more fun with summer tyres. I’ve got a set of 19inch Xtremes with summer tyres ready for the spring. What spec has your car got? Are you enjoying it?
