  1. Colin, I also have a 170BHP Yeti and would suggest fitting an ECU Autoflash, this gives faster DSG gearchanging and allows extra torque into the gearbox. Improved acceleartion, without the higher insurance cost and warranty problems. Takes some 15 minutes drivng the car with the unit installed (plugs in the temporarily under the dashboard drivers side) in in all modes, normal, sport and clutchless, take the unit out.. It does not show on any Skoda software. Available from MotorMods, Cheltenham. Recommended
  2. I purchased a bonnet strut for my 2014 170 DSG Yeti Outdoor Elegance but once fitted by my garage they thought it put too much strain on the bonnet and hinges, did not line up correctly. Took it off and threw it in the bin ! - no problem using the standard rod support. Roger, AKA - Giiliwing. Nice cars
  3. Hi Aspma, you do not say what mileage the BMW has done. I sold my 2006 BMW 120D (For a Skoda Yeti Elegance 4x4 170DSG) with the mileage at just over 70,000. No brakes re-lined during this period ! - but had 2 sets of tyres
  4. Re the Pipercross air filter, not a cone type, flat panel type and fits into a filter box. See below. Can buy on-line Pipercross Filters Available for Skoda Yeti 2.0 TDI (2009- Pipercross Rectangle Performance Panel Filter (Length 341mm x Width 136mm) for Skoda Yeti 2.0 TDI (2009-) PP1621 Designed to directly replace your standard air filter element, Pipercross panel filters can be fitted in minutes for a lifetime of performance engine protection. £ 35.99
  5. Re the pipercross performance air filter. I had it fitted by MotorMods, near Cheltenham, they also fitted the rear spoiler and black wrapping of the 'B' pillars. You can also fit a K&N filter. These will NOT affect the warranty and are washable, they do NOT need replacing like the original Skoda item. The window tinting, from memory, a year ago now, cost about £250 - goes well with black roof and black pillar wrappoing. I will post a picture sometime.. Any garage can fit the filter or do it youirself, not difficult. Happy motoring. PS - I went to Cambodia/Vietnam last year and went on a 2 hour quad bike trek through the coubtry side and paddyfields, wonderful
  6. Hello faradacage. I had the performance air filter fitted extra at the same time as the special quick gear change mod. This gives 50% quicker auto changes plus allows more torque when overtaking. NOT a performance chip as such, no increase in BHP or torque, just an adjustment of what is already there. Acceleration certainly quicker. Only downsize I think is a bit more induction noise when really accelerating hard. Not noticeable by Skoda software. I forgot I also had 'midnight' window tinting, not front or driver/passengers side of course. I don't no whjy but I love driving this car, not something I have had with all most of my previous vehicles (46 at present !)
  7. Hi, new to Briskoda, also with Yeti Owners Club. 2014 Yeti Elegance Outdoor 170 DSG, moon white/black roof, electric memory seats, fatigue sensor, off road, heated front screen, parking sensors, rear camera, park assist. Plus Super Skoda accessories, black 'B' pillars, rear spoiler, rear bumper protector, 'big foot' rear logo, Autoflash gearbox mod (50% quicker changes + more torque for overtaking), Pipercross freeflow air filter, stainless steel wing mirror covers and stainless steel door handles - a bit of bling. Looks nice
