  1. I have fitted Halfords 120% brighter lamps to my headlights, they are still awful, I can barely see where I'm going at night. I fitted four of Halfords 90% brighter to my wife's 2009 Cmax, the dipped headlights on that are just amazing, the main beam just incredible. I have seen aftermarket 4000k HID's on ebay for around £42, I think at that price they are worth the risk as they could make what is a brilliant, fun, practical and economical car even better. I need an auto as a bike accident cost me an arm and this car averages 43-48 mpg over my 1250 miles a month commute and very much cuts it on the M25 Has anyone tried aftermarket HID's?
  2. I miss Tweekies Goneoffski as I used to live not too far from them. Have actually booked it into Skoda, Citygate in Watford to have them replaced on Wednesday, they asked me why I wanted them replacing, I replied because its misfiring. They are running a diagnostic first apparently. £104 a lot of money but if something goes wrong, I have a skoda receipt for it. I've had the car since February was 31k miles now 34.5k (I drive 250 miles a week to work round the M25). I love it but I think it's got to go, the fact I've already put a litre of oil in it, the gearbox has had a couple of major lurches in the last 2 weeks and reading the horror stories I'm losing confidence rapidly. Sadly due to a bike accident 25 years ago means I need an auto and I can see a late mk2 focus Tdci sitting on the drive at this rate (we've got a cmax its brill).
  3. Where can I buy the correct ;plugs for my 2011 Vrs from. You guys are stating to use NGK BKR 7EIX plugs, Eurocar Parts lists NGK 5758. Which is the correct plug? I can't see any obvious reference to BKR 7EIX. Useful assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  4. aaah, like that is it vxh26? lol
  5. Hi having owned my Vrs for just a month now, its done 32k miles and I am going to be putting 1100 miles a month on it commuting, what are the recommended replacement plugs? Thanks
  6. Hi Middle aged disabled ex biker (need an auto) just purchased a 2011 Race blue Fabia Vrs. What an absolute riot and a fantastic little car it is. Can get my wife, grown up daughters in and my 2 year old in his car seat in too. Incredibly cheap to tax and insure, together way cheaper than just taxing my last car (407, 2.7 hdi coupe). Getting 42- 44 ish mpg on my daily 50 miles round trip around the M25, would like a bit more if possible (is it possible). Finding it a very addictive car to own and drive. David
