  1. Sorry to resurrect an old thread but out of those 3,which would you prefer?!
  2. Just had a quick read, and no one has actually bought the R16 64 yellow springs, as they tended to go for the shorter ones due to having more "strength"! Seeing as the Red R16 64 are the ones to go for, I might be tempted with a set of each. But first I need to get my boot auto delatching from the keyfob. Anyway near Trafford centre with vagcom or is this a dealer visit?
  3. Has anyone tried the yellow springs? http://www.bearingboys.co.uk/G16x64_Extra_Heavy_Load_Die_Spring-31190-p
  4. Has anyone used the struts for a non VRS? I'm assuming the spoiler adds a fair bit more weight to the boot! Making it harder to close!? I need to replace mine as they are a bit weak! Tempted to get these regardless whether the springs work or not!
  5. That is the information I got from SkodaUk. So for peace of mind, it will be a trip to the dealer when collecting the keys so they can do that, there and then. Cheers all
  6. Spoke to the sales manager, and he has ordered a second key for us. Sorted it out without hardly any fuss! So does anyone know how to deactivate the missing key? I'm going to ring Skoda anyway to find out if they can do this, and if they can, will get the garage that supplied the car to sort this out for us. Cheers all
  7. Also just a thought going forward. Are both keys the same? Or one a standard key and the other a remote?
  8. My dad is based in Northampton. Can a main dealer do it or can you do it via vag com? The car is second hand on but 6 months old. Was bought from main dealer, previous owner was a sales person from the garage.
  9. Hey all, just a quick question. My dad just bought a nearly new Fabia and after the deal was done the sales person gave him one key and said that they only come with one key. Is this true or false. I've never known a car to only come with one key only! Also if there are two keys, does anyone know if you can and how to deactivate the second key?! Thanks in advance!
  10. Definitely worth doing...I got the 18" Zeniths on mine pretty soon after I got the car. On the 18's I did notice a difference when the road surface wasn't great...and you have to be a lot more careful when parking on the kerb but other than that they are great!
  11. I had the same problem...but found a keyboard called Touchpal...give it a try! I love it. Can't deal with the swype stuff but its has that two..and has the T9 phonepad style keyboard as well. Also punctuations are real easy compared to other keyboards i've tried...and its free!
  12. Hmmm Bluetooth and the Radio is what I use the most. When you say at speed...do you mean it becomes unbearable for the listener? I think I may have to give this a miss, and stick to a basic Parrot kit on the current headunit.
  13. Sorry to bring up an old thread but looking to put BT in my car, and then came across this....again from ICEBOX AUTO. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251082735801?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619#ht_9672wt_1026 It looks like a replica of the RNS510. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience of it on here?!? I've seen some US users comment on it with VW cars and it looks positive. Also if you do have it, is anyone in the Manchester area so I can have a peek?!
  14. Will see if the local halfords have one that I can test. You say that its got metal hooks on the glass? I've been tempted by this as well, as it will allow me access to the boot at the same time! Any links to where you got yours from?!
  15. Hey Guys Sorry for bringing up an old thread, Looking for one of these Bike racks for my Octy. Its a pre facelift 2007 without a spoiler. Looking at the Saris Bones 3. Is this what you have? And any of you guys got pictures of it fitted? As Saris say its not compatible with the Octy hatch. Thanks Vim
  16. Back up for sale! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190653946765

  18. Wardy, I'm in Manchester if you wanna have a look to see if its something you want?!
  19. Yes, I think thats why they replaced it with the 24-70. However it is a cracking lens! The 2.8 allows you to take some brill photos.
  20. Hey Guys, I've put this up on Ebay. You can either bid there or make me an offer here for a quick sale. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sigma-28-70mm-EX-DG-1-2-8-2-8-Canon-Ef-Ef-s-caps-filter-case-and-hood-/190649918838 Cheers
  21. TPS?? My wife has done a good job of sticking it back on using some sticky tape! (just to keep it dry really) Probably will have to get a replacement casing. So does anyone have a spare preferably in black magic to avoid painting?
  22. Well my faith in people has somewhat been restored!! My next door neighbour knocked on my door and handed my my casing, he found it on my bonnet so he took it in incase someone nabbed it. Looks like some clipped it as the plastic looks a bit broken. Will check how much damage there is tomorrow in the day light! Still not great, but feel better that someone not stole it!
  23. Just venting my frustration!! Got home from work to have the opposite house neighbour come out and tell me someone has knocked our wing mirror, checked it out and the glass was loose, and the casing shell was missing! The glass was intact, just needed pushing back on (which is lucky as I have the dimming mirrors). So had a look around to see if I can see some of the shattered plastic, however nothing! Looks like someone has stolen the casing!! I live on a main road, which is really busy. Can't believe the nerve of some people!! Looking around to get a replacement now, any ideas where from? Looked on ebay and they seem to be selling full wing mirrors? I need the drivers side in black (tis for the one with puddle lights)
