Absolutely loving this... I love my gen2 elegance estate but in all honesty I would have preferred a Vrs Octavian estate only it wasn't big enough for me. The sportier stance of the sport line and interior touches appeals to me, I'm early thirties with a young family. An nice spec and smart looking sport line with say 190bhp diesel 4x4 dsg and maybe a remap etc would be my perfect family work horse as I have some other classic cars which I can use as 'toys' Will def be following these when or if they get a uk release Would still hope they retain some comforts such as heated front seats and Columbus would be nice

Cambelt change on 2ltr tdi 170?
M00k replied to gianthotdog's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Well got the superb done, belt pump and full service oil and filter, fuel filter, air and pollen done £420 all in, pretty pleased with that, got the mrs a4 170 done at the same time, mine has 60k 4years old hers 66k 5years old... Probably both would have gone on for many years but I would tend to over service anyway I suppose, but that should be it for another four years anyway -

Thanks guys will have a look again couldn't find anything under the bonnet where I'd usually have found them It's my brother in laws place doing up the paint mix tbh the match he did on my vxr8 was better than the official Holden one otherwise I wouldn't entertain it -

Just wonder g does anyone know roughly the number of hours labour a pump and belt change involves with eithe skoda or a competent mechanic? Just ballpark figure -
That'd be good, but I'm in Northern Ireland :-(

That's pretty neat, have you any details on what's needed or involved? Cbeebies would help with mini me lol

That sucks... Father inlaw parked his brand new titanium x mondeo sport on our drive to come in and check our dog while we were out. Builders down the street knocked the door after his car with 80 miles on the clock was sitting through the front door of our neighbours house £4k damage to the car and £1k to the house... However at least no kids were out on the street where they usually play or the elderly neighbour wasn't locking her door His was clicked on too however only just it seems and as the brakes cooled it let itself go

Been trying to decide on this recently myself, prices and reputations vary so much :-(

How many miles from a full tank and which model ?
M00k replied to whiteswan's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
170 2011 elegance superb estate, generally get 500 ish to a tank but double push it to 600 mostly sitting at 70ish on carriageway and motorways and not getting a hard time accelerating to it -
There seems to be some kind of Holden tax that vauxhall put in everything, £700 plus vat per brake disk? I imported my own brakes, saved a fortune even after shipping and import duty, however ordered a water pump as you say was cheap as chips however an early ls2 pump arrived opposed to the later which I needed even ordering off chassis and wasn't worth £100 return price to refund £100 so got one in the UK as cud take be assed waiting a few weeks again either Yeah they're not known for build quality but for just raw power and grunt it was immense... M5 performance for a fraction of the price when the prices were good!!!

Having come from a 6.0 v8 to a 170 elegance superb I have to say I miss the rumble... However I dint miss the fuelling, taxing, insurance and servicing not to mention £700 plus vat per disk and £616 plus vat for a water pump!!!!
