  1. Theres a company called problem solving bushes on ebay who do poly bushes for the rear for a very reasonable price. have some on my mk1 they fit perfectly and work well, about 25 quid i seem to remember (only last year).
  2. Hello vrs type kiddies, just got round to fitting cisbo parking sensors, they dont work! I get the confirmation beep and then 4 beeps which seems to indicate that "sensor D" / all of em are duff (according to the manual). All soldered joints no scotch locks!. Is there any way of testing the sensors to make sure?. i get a steady twelve volts from the power lead, (tried connecting the yellow "acc" lead to, makes no difference) stumped? (Bought em a a couple of months back so the vendor is unlikly to be interested). anyone got any ideas?
  3. hey mattdoherty24 konis well recomended i have these with standard springs (no drop) and they are very good for the road. damping is a lot firmer so should work well while towing.
  4. I have random locking issues (which i can live with at the moment, pretty sure the switch is dead) but also the key wont open the car manually at all, l im assuming its because the fob has always been used and the lock has siezed, i dont want to force it and break the key as i only have one at the moment. lock out job or other.
  5. pjs tools on ebay do all sorts for reasonable prices.
  6. The mrs has Landsails on her Megan cabrio, For regular non performance driving they are ok. I dont think they are great in the wet, but, that might be the cabrios indiferent suspension set up as much as anything.i have driven on lots worse tho it has to be said!
  7. dont know if you have sorted this yet but mine will unlock if you lock the car, then pull the interior handle so the button pops up and back down. then unlock it with the interior button on the drivers door sometimes takes a couple of goes but normally unlocks ?
  8. hey vee8essienice one i'll give em a call and see what they say, cheers Lee.
  9. hey vrstom got koni adjustables on it already just put the standard springs (slight quandry as it feel quite 'loose' by comparison) and rab back on having taken H and R springs off! (slight quandry as it feel quite 'loose' by comparison) I need to keep the ride height. if i go back to the H and R's I'm going to fabricate myself a sump gaurd i think. Ok, thanks vrs tom
  10. Right kiddies, does anyone know of any uprated vrs coil springs (manufacturer or dealer) that keep the standard vrs ride height. Dont want lower just stiffer, (for the road not track incedentally)? Looked all over can only find lowered springs.
  11. Hello mate me again! if you still have these i'll have em off you? Cheers Lee.
  12. Also the speedo over reads i have this size on mine, as long as your awaare of it its not a problem. 100 on the clock is about 85 and a bit! i find the ride ok, turn in is great!
  13. ditto the above halfords high rack. usually with two bikes no probs.no scuffing ans clears the lights. loads on boot sales, cheap usually.
  14. I think the sport adjustables still need more compression damping which is obviously fixed (personal preferance?) i dont like the soft initial stroke of the h and r springs either,it uses up a lot of travel too soon when your 'on it', i dont have enough clearance as it is. (god i'm hard to please!!!). Next mod will be rear bar to get rid of the understeer.
  15. i agree with you andy68 re the damping with the koni's, i'm thinking of going the b8 route but with standard springs, i need the ride height back! the speed humps round here are terrible.
  16. hi kiddiwinkles, i have the H and R coils with koni settup on my vrs mk1, handles well and its suprisingly civilised.(rebound set at 1 and a half turns out from soft front and rear. in case yer interested) even with 40 profile tyres, The ground clearance is nothing to write home about tho!
  17. hey butchvrs two things, are the springs still available and do you know if they are suitable for a mk1? regards lee.
