You kno I've got that same problem but I haven't taken mine out yet, (tommorows job) but I have done the new inlet manifold new sensors I.e n75 valve and the flap actuator so 700 quid down and still have this issue also taken turbo off as I thought it had sticky veins ... Nope so I'm thinking it's my map myself so it's booked in for next week as they are going to have a look at the diagnosis and hopefully get stage 2 done by them. Has anything changed since you posted ?

As I got told today my turbo is sticking so the boost only kicks in around 15-1700 rpm so the possibility is either an upgrade or possible refurb ? But I am looking at the idea of a hybrid but im a novice at all this so any opinions are much apreciated

I have that same problem went to the garage today for the 4th time as no error codes but ive just changed my inlet as was shot.. today got told its the turbo, the small fan (sorry for non technical terms) has got stuck and its just the bigger one that kicks in at 1700 roughly so its a pain in the arse at roundabouts really haha getting a upgraded turbo next on the list I think

It wasnt showing any codes :'( which is a pain! But this was before I changed the manifold.. im going to be doing it tuesday so im hoping something shows up

Today I got a new inlet manifold and fitted it. 2 hours later fitted and happy, then went for a drive... still not driving right ... theres a struggle getting from idle to above 1500rpm then after that its fine so ive done alot of reading and ive seen a thread talking about a egt sensor? Could this be the problem? Just want it up and running properly as money has been tight and been off the road a month. Also had a recent service too about 200 miles before the old manifold decided to bugger up. FYI: pd 170 any suggestions really appreciated

Okay thanks .. I had no idea so thought id find out. And to be honest reading back about the grill I have no idea either .. im on with carbon fibre wrapping the grill today so im hoping it goes well and then im thinking about the fog light surrounds and spoiler too .. but decisive about the fog lights ..

Curious.. but would a r32 golf front end fit on the octy? Or at least the grills swap over ?
