  1. Of course, I was forgetting that the monte carlo was only available with Tsi's
  2. Just stumbled across this epic build thread. Any more updates on the citigo ? as previously mentioned nice one Trevor for building it, would love something similar as I'm sure others would too.
  3. Scala is looking well, the Monte Carlo makes them look really smart. What engine TSI or TDI? I'm guessing TSI ? Cheers Ash
  4. Thank you @Oldmansomerset 👍
  5. Evening all Just a quick one to say hello once again been inactive on here for quiet a while. I no longer own my fabia SEL TDI DSG sold that in 2016. I'm still vag group through and through I've now got a 2019 Golf SV Match DSG 1.5 TSI. Hopefully I'm planning on been way more active on here once more and hopefully soon we maybe getting a scala onto our driveway. Shall be asking in the scala section shortly. Good to be back cheers everyone Ash 😀
  6. Cheers for the replies guys ... yeah varied replies ☺ all sorts of different mileage. I'm in the same boat as some I just love driving my new fabia that's why I have the mileage I have . Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  7. Afternoon all, As the title suggests im been nosey about your fabia's mileage. I collected my fabia tdi on the 17th June last year and since then I have done 7,200 miles in it, various trips but mainly 20-100 miles per trip. I'm just wondering what everyone else's mileage is like as I seem to be clocking the miles up on mine. Many thanks Ash. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  8. Hi, welcome to briskoda ... Hope you enjoy your new fabia, I'm just hoping you don't have any issues with oil consumption etc like you have already said. Take your time and do what I did when i first joined, have a good look around and don't be afraid to ask questions as there are more than enough members on here that will lend an helping hand or opinion. Enjoy and take care Ash
  9. Morning everyone hope all is well ? Just a quick one as I'm sure some of you shall be able to help me ... I have had my new fabia about a month or so now and I love it to bits, wouldn't change it for the world but something is started to bug me and that is the drivers seat position ... I just can't seem to get comfy when driving. I'm changing the seat position daily so it's getting rather annoying now, what are your positions maybe I could give those a shot .... I have to have the seat positioned about half way on the runners as the fabia is fitted with hand controls so if I went any closer my legs catch when entering and exiting the vehicle. Also I'm fed up of having my seat really reclined back as it's in the way of leg room for rear passengers. Sorry it's a long one but hopefully you fellow members can help ... Pics would be great too Many thanks ... Take care Ash
  10. Cheers fabiamk2se ... Yeah I'm sure I will .... Like I have previously said I'm enjoying skoda ownership can't complain Cheers ash .
  11. Cheers for the reply joe ... Right first off my fabia is two weeks old yesterday and so far I have done just over 700 miles so I don't think that's too bad ... Again it's been mainly around town few bits of dual carriageway etc just daily driver stuff . I'm averaging around 55-60 mpg ATM so not too bad at all ( had a corsa before 1.4 petrol and I got 35.7 out of that). And yeah I noticed the roof gutter issue I got a soaking myself the other weekend during a rain session that we had ... Not good, all in all I can't fault my fabia I'm chuffed Cheers ash
  12. Always liked the wheels fitted to the dune, think they look ace on fabs, a friend of mine has just fitted some to his Monte Carlo along with coilovers.
  13. Yeah my fabia is using the motobility scheme so ordered though them and the local dealership .... It seemed to me when collecting the fabia some two weeks ago now ... Nothing was mentioned to me about extra functions, and to this day I don't know what all the buttons are and what they do. Thanks ash
  14. Cheers once again goneoffski.... Hmm right it might just be me but when I release the hand control the fabia seems to pull forward slightly ... It's taken some getting used to as my old corsa didn't do this ! Yeah I do have hill hold control ... Seems helpful which is great And finally no nothing was said to me about anything to do with the hand controls apart from where I want my steering ball fitted on the steering wheel ... Would love to know more info about steering and braking assistance ? And again nothing was said from the dealership about more functions . Cheers once again ash
  15. I have had my new fabia since Tuesday afternoon and that is fitted with the 1.4tdi dsg and I have to say so far so good ... It's great .
  16. Cheers for the replies ... Means a lot Right first off my new fabia is really great I'm really enjoying the driving experience I can't fault it, I have done around 100+ miles in two days so yeah all is well . Right onto the subject of my hand controls, I have had jeff gosling push and pull hand control with indicator switch, which I am used too as I have used them on my other vehicles so it wasn't really an issue with the fabia, I just asked the salesman how to use the dsg box as it's the first time I have used it but all seems well ATM so I'm happy. Now finally I don't know if it's just me but when I come to a stop in the fabia, say at a roundabout the car tends to slightly move forward is that normal ? Cheers ash .
  17. Evening all hope all is well ? Just thought I would start a new post saying that finally after many months of waiting my new fabia is ready for collection tomorrow ... Hopefully if all goes to plan regarding my adaptions ( hand controls etc) . To say I'm excited is an understatement ... I'm just counting down the hours and minutes . The spec I have gone for is as follows : 1.4 tdi 7spd dsg ( first ever time using dsg any useful tips ?) Race blue All the usual sel bits and bobs Many thanks hope I didn't bore you too much ... Thanks for reading Ps what are you views on your new fabia ... Pros and cons ?
  18. Just sat and read through the whole build thread, all I'm going to say is very well done mate, your fab looks epic (mind you so does your octy) would love to own both I really would. It was a shame reading about the troubles you had with amd, but I'm glad they got sorted in the end. Cheers Ash .
  19. Loved watching that ..... Good old mk1 octy still going strong, Not too sure on the colour mind, but they that's just me ...
  20. Evening all hope all is well ? Just thought I would re join briskoda as I'm now ( as of the middle of June) a fabia sel owner .... I went into my local dealership on Thursday to look at the new fabia and straight away I knew I wanted one .... So low and behold today I placed my order for the fabia ..... As previously said I was to be getting an sel fabia with the 1.4tdi motor and the 7spd dsg box. I went for the dsg box as I'm a disabled driver that uses hand controls so it's the only option for me. Finally to be honest I am really impressed with the new fabia and I can't wait to get it, I'm counting down the days. Many thanks Ash .
