  1. It's not a fan on the bolero/amunsden/columbus unit is it?
  2. If you go down the route of swapping the seats out and are wanting to sell the ones you have let me know I'm currently looking to buy some vrs seats
  3. Already tried contacting them but they never return my emails or calls
  4. Ok so a few months back I set off trying to replace my standard cloth interior with either the leather or half leather seats from a vrs or elegance. Little did I know how hard this would actually be. First things first I managed to grab a complete rear set from a vrs police estate. Seats were mint condition and fit like a glove Apart from the boot release cables which now hide under the seat. Now for the main issue the front. These seats have been impossible to find even trying these online part finders came up with nothing. Now to my question. Does anybody know if I could fit the seats from an audi A5 in to the octy or would they be a completely different lay out? I understand I should be able to fit the mk2 seats and potentially ones from the mqb platform but does anyone have any recommendations of what I should look into in terms of comfort And relative ease of fitment. Thanks
  5. Managed a miraculous 80.3 which I believe is more than what skoda claim would post proof but not sure how to do photos on here
  6. Interesting you should say that the fabia was disc front drum back but put it on a hill the hand brake was like you hadn't even touched it. As for the octavia discs all around but on the hill it will roll. My issue definitely seems to be cause by hill interfering somehow with how the handbrake catches. I would imagine should I drive up a hill and just rip the handbrake without giving it chance to come on would work but also cause damage. As far as pressing hard on the brakes I've tried this I've tried pulling the hand brake up with and without it only goes to notch 1 anyway I've tried pushing button in pulling hand brake then pulling some more whilst rolling i should add to see if it stops but it has a mind of its own. It's back at the dealer a week on Friday anyway so we will see what they have to say I would imagine like the fabia they will just laugh me out the door and tell me everything is fine. In which case I would be in the market for a new car as it would grind at me that something was wrong.
  7. Well it looks like back to the dealer and see what's what. I had them look at my fabia and no fault found so ended up selling hopefully it won't end that way with this. But I can confirm the handbrakes are rubbish from my experience over the years
  8. I'm glad it's not just me, I was really hoping this wouldn't happen again. Which is a shame really. I once stopped at traffic lights handbrake on and I started to roll towards the car in front which obviously is a little stressful
  9. And one experienced handbrake slipping? Ie when parking on a hill putting the handbrake on and the car rolling away? I should also mention the handbrake was up in its usual position to where I can't pull it up more. I previously had a fabia in 2011 that did the exact same having the brakes overhauled new discs, pads drums checked etc problem was still there. I just wondered has any one else experienced something like this it tends to happen afterthe hill assist let's go. Any ideas?
  10. Perhaps I should have been a little clearer with the post for me I only hear the sound when braking and coming to a complete standstill. Personally for me it's not an issue I just wondered if any one else had noticed it and had managed to quieten it down. I mainly had passengers in mind when posting.
  11. Hi Stan, I also have the 1.6tdi 105 personally for me I haven't had too many issues with the a hard ride. I have a 2013 whether it makes a difference or not maybe age has made it a little softer. noise however I've only really experienced excessive noise above 70 or in heavy wind/ rain other than that cruising round town the engine is fairly quiet and outside noise is quite minimal but due to road surface this can change. I hear the wind deflectors can cut down a fair bit of noise too
  12. I guess it's probably something to do with the new platform they are currently on
  13. That definitely sounds right for it stopping, I guess it's just one of those things.
  14. On quite a few occasions now when braking you can here the fuel sloshing around in the tank. Does anyone else get this or found a way to quiten it down seems to be noisier when full than empty.
  15. From what I have found the mk3 vrs seats should fit in as they are all the same platform and I have also been told the mk2 seats fit aswell fronts straight swap however finding some mk3 vrs seats is very difficult been looking for a while now and not come across any
