  1. Skoda finance are the finance company and are members of the BVRLA. A lady from the BCA inspected the vehicle. I did not sign any documents and was asked not to as well due to Covid. Apologies, the Missing nut key is £150 and £25 for the scratch
  2. The cost of the scratch is only £25 and to be honest there are other scratches/dents that I thought I would get charged with and would have happily paid however this scratch happened during the period of post final payment and as I was not allowed to drive the car and it was no longer my responsibility, I think it will unfair to be charged for it. I agree it was my fault (only on here) that I did not check for the locking nut however apart from the engineer mentioning it at the service, it was never used or searched for.
  3. Due to Covid and due to the face I was working during the inspection, the lady from BCA carried out the inspection herself and only knocked on the door to give me back a screwdriver that she found in the car. She only advised during the drop off of the screwdriver that the report will be emailed to me, no signature was required and BCA will be in touch if there are any costs to cover off
  4. Had my Kdoaiq collected today after the 3 year lease came to an end. Due to Covid I did not have to sign anything and I actually paid off for the car over 2 months back, could not drive it and has sitting idle on road since the lock down began. When the inspection had finished I was not told anything and just recieved the report this evening. Looks like the Alloy Wheel Key is missing. It was in the car prior to having a service last year and I had never taken it out the car so can only think it was used and never replaced at the service. (Want to charge me £175). A scratch that has appeared on the body after I no longer had ownership of the car as I had paid it off and it was sitting idle during lockdown. Is there anyways I could contest the two above issues ok the report?
  5. My leased Kodiaq is due to come to and end in a few months and I have lost my secondary key which has the keyless entry feature. Anyone know how much Skoda would charge to obtain a new one or where I could source a new one that was programmed with the keyless entry option? Thanks
  6. Thanks for your responses. Can I ask to negotiate the price, include part exchange and ask them to include extra warranty? I will be buy the car for my father so any way of reducing the costs would be great. Just to add, I have paid 30 months of £400 a month (3 months up front). If I paid the 22,200 in March the cost of the car including all the payments will be around 35k in total.
  7. £20845 - I assume it is not taking into account any of the options I added to it?
  8. My 2017 SKODA KODIAQ EDITION 1.4TSI 150 DSG 3 year lease is due to end in June 2020. I have asked for a quote on if I wanted to purchase the car in March 2020 and they have advised it would cost £22,200 Mileage: 20,000 Colour - QUARTZ GREY Leathers - BEIGE Extra Options - Isofix Front Passenger Seat Elec Child Saftey Lock Park Assist Media Command Lane Assist with Blind Spot Detection Carpet Mats Is this price reasonable?
  9. Thank you for the detailed response. Is the 55% negotiable in any way or fixed? Where could I order a replacement from? I suspect one of my kids has thrown or placed it somewhere in the house. Will be like finding a needle in a haystack!
  10. I have found a new lease deal however I would need to take receipt by the end of March. Any of you know the process and process to end a lase early? Any extra charges? I also believe I may of lost my spare key (a thorough search is required). What would be the penalty for a replacement upon pick up? Lastly I have a few scratches and someone has left a very long key scratch on the the left side of the car. Should I get this repaired prior to return or pay the fees Skoda charge me? Any ideas what the charges would likely to be?
  11. Just had a look at the Touran and looks like a good shout however is it available under £300 a month inc VAT on a 3*23?
  12. Our current setup is 2 ISO kids seats in the rear outset seats with one adult in the middle. Doing some reasearch and whilst SKODA do not have any options the C5 aircross claim they have three full sized seats and their top spec model is around £250 a month inc VAT on a 3 * 23 months term. Would love the XC90 however maybe in another lifetime!
  13. I am looking to order a car now but take delivery upon the end of the lease term. Thought I would give it a month or so to make sure I find the right car hence looking into it now. 4x4 is a nice to have but do not need it
  14. I am not really looking for anything bigger but just want to have 3 full sized seats at at the rear of the car. Happy to have a smaller boot size and we do not need 7 seats. If we were to stay with Skoda, we had a Skoda Octavia Scout previously for 3 * 23 for £227 a month inc VAT. The size of the Octavia Scout in terms of rear sized seats are pretty similar to the Kodiaq
  15. in all honesty, I would like a 2 year lease with another new car without the hassle of any maintenance, road tax and service costs. I could go for the Kodiaq again but they have said they can only let me know costs until the last 3 months of the lease.
  16. I am 2 and a half years through my 3 years lease with my Edition 1.4 TSI DSG lease. I am currently paying £400 a month however I would like to reduce this to £250 a month on a 2 year lease with 3 months payment up front/8000 miles. We have three children and ideally would like the width at the rear of the car to be a little bigger to accommodate 2 ISO fixed child seats and an adult in the middle - currently it is tight squeeze! Are there any deals out there for the Kodiaq or another model that may be better in line with our budget?
  17. I have had my Kodiaq for just under 2 years (lease) and the oil service indicator light is on. Would this be classed as mini service and anyone know what it entails/costs? Thanks
  18. So I have been testing the park assist over the weekend (bought mainly for the wife and partially as I like to play with new tech). Apart from the 1 instance as mentioned above, it worked a treat every other time. Maybe it learns and gets better as it ages :P
  19. Thank you for your responses. I thought the 'kick' boot closure was an extra unless it is now included with the edition spec?
  20. So my wife was having a look at our new Kodiaq today and she opened the boot and while she was having a look it started to auto close (she may have presses the close button). The worrying this was even after aapplying a Smale pressure to hold it open, it was still closing. She was able to move away but she is now worried about our young children and the boot auto closing on them... Anyone know how this feature should work and if we can switch off the automatic close feature?
  21. So I have received my Kodiaq 1.4 DSG Edition in Quartz Grey and it looks and drives very well!I haven't had a chance to fully play with it yet but couple of things I have noticed -1. Mirrors not tilting when reversing. I know it works for the passenger one when I change the turn dial to L for the mirrors but for the drivers side it still does not work.2. Park Assist - I have tested this out twice.1st Attempt it parked perfectly2nd attempt it hit the curb! Anyone have any ideas why it hit the curb and could that mean there may be a fault with it? 3. Info Call button calls the breakdown service (at first it did not work at all until I selected breakdown and then info again). 4. Car Jack seems to be missing, no space saver wheel or puncture repair kit?
  22. Update - So dealer sorted out the increase in TAX however I noticed another discrepancy on the finance form. This time with the mileage. The signed for that I completed for the order in April 2017 was for 10,000 miles and the form they want me to complete for the finance agreement is for 8,000 miles. When I spoke to the dealer on Friday he advised he had issues with his system making the changes and it should all be sorted on Monday however when I spoke to him today he advised it was to do with some payment issue son the form (did not elaborate). The advise on Friday was, as long as the form was completed by Monday (today) I would be able to collect the car by Thursday/Friday (I need the car for Saturday as I am travelling up north and notified the dealers in advance in case I needed to borrow a car). I have tried to chase the dealer again this afternoon and he said he should be able to sort things out tonight. Contacted them again 15mins back as they close at 6pm and apparently they are busy in a meeting. Not impressed and more importantly worried now that I may not be able to arrange a alternative car with short notice...
  23. Finally my Kodiaq has arrived at the dealers and I got email confirmation today to pay the deposit and sign the finance agreements. I decided to call the dealer up as I required the car for the 1st July (next weekend) for a trip up north. I was hoping when I called the dealer would have told me to collect it this weekend however he said there was a pre-inspection required and therefore I wont be able to have it until the 1st week of July! *The sales rep who I was dealing with since the start of the order was not in the office so I had to deal with this today via a colleague. I explained I had been in touch with one of his colleagues previously with regards to having it by the 1st of July which no reservations were brought up at the time... The dealer is going to see if he can get it done sooner but this is the first time I was told about the pre-inspection and apparently they are booked up for 2 weeks. He also assumed the car was being delivered even though I had said I was going to collect it directly form them. Lastly they upped the rental and deposit by £3-£4 and stated it was due to the increase in tax that I had to pay more. I explained when I ordered (April 2017), I paid significantly more than the quote I had received for a higher spec in Jan due to the increase in Tax already. So now he is going to try and iron that out as well. Not a good start so far! Hopefully the car will be faultless once I get my hands on it!
  24. My kodiaq is due for delivery hopefully on the 1st of July however my current lease on my Octavia Scout would have come to an end in the 2nd week of June, however due to the Kodiaq delivery date, I have had to extend the lease by a month.I have just had a 14 day reminder come on my Scout to advise of its first service, which would have occurred after the date I returned the car but now it is due in the extension of the lease! It doesn't make sense for me paying £150 for the service and then only having the car for 2 more weeks prior to returning it!Any suggestions of getting out of it apart from returning it?
