  1. See the installing the bumper section in this link for images.
  2. Yes, things could get messy.
  3. After fitting the Scirocco boot stops when I press and hold the hatch button on the key fob the hatch opens by a few centimetres, it does not open all the way as shown in those videos.
  4. I was thinking specifically the roof to prevent it denting so easily. I know silentcoat is supposed to stop panel vibration when exposed to audio so I thought it might add some strength as well. I'll have a go this summer and see what happens.
  5. You don't need to change the struts, the video was just to show you an image of the boot stops I fitted and how to adjust them. It sounds like your car is not coded to release the latch, this video is a bit better and shows at the end how the coding would be changed. Just changing the boot stops will only open the hatch by a few centimetres, it won't open the hatch fully, which is all I wanted.
  6. I guess I will have to caress it rather than scrub it . Do you think lining it with Silentcoat sound deading panels would help give it some rigidity, with the added benefit of improving the acoustics in the car.
  7. I don't have a picture, this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RgZTIMsJLc shows them being fitted to a golf as part of a mod to open the hatch fully.
  8. I don't know about the Citigo but on the Mii if you press the hatch button on the key fob once it unlocks, press and hold the button and it will unlock and momentarily release the latch. In the manual it says the hatch should open a few centimetres, this does not happen, when I contacted Seat they agreed the manual is wrong. So the only mechanical mod I have done to my car is to remove the two boot stops on the corners of the hatch and replace with the Scirocco sprung loaded boot stops and now the boot will pop open a few centimetres, which I find makes it much easier to open the rear when my hands are full. Part number is 1K8 827 761D, £11.04 for the pair if anyone is interested.

    DAB

There is a simple cheap solution, I bought a Bush Pocket DAB radio from Argos for £25 pounds. It looks like the old fashioned MP3 players. You simply plug the headphone socket into the AUX on your head unit, this also acts as the ariel. It powers off its own rechargeable battery or 5v adaptor plugged into the 12v socket (which will also recharge the battery). The reception in mid-Wiltshire is very clear, its size means its very discrete and sits in the centre console relatively neatly and it can be removed and fitted with ease.
  10. Hi everyone, I bought an ex-demo Seat Mii Toca last summer and as there appears to be no active Mii forum I thought I would join the citigo section of this one. I have had no trouble with my car it even goes into reverse smoothly, the only thing I have been surprised by is how thin the roof seems to be, I put a couple of tiny dents in it when cleaning it, am I just heavy handed or has anyone else experienced this.
