  1. I didn't meant it to be a monologue but I did sourced some info and I'll share what I've learned. I've found several different project pages where the owners have successfully done between 20 and 30K km on remapped cars like Golf 1.4 TSI with 290NM and mainly Seat Leon 1.8 with 330NM and even is20 turbo swapped with 400NM. Octi projects are mainly DSG DQ200 so not relevant for me. One interesting fact - Leon and Octavia 3 1.8 132kW both use the same gearbox 02S code RSN with same part number and same clutch part number. But when searching for replacement clutch both Sachs and LUK suggest different clutch sets. It turns out they suggest clutch set from Octavia II 1.8TSI 160hp for Leon 2013-2019 and for Octavia 3 but only manufactured before 07.2014. Based on my findings and from the words (videos, project pages and phone conversations) of 5 different mappers they don't expect issues with the 02S with the stock is12 turbo.
  2. Hello, First of all I want to apologize if this is not the right section for my topic since this is a potential project. The plan is to remap my ‘18 O3 1,8 TSI 6-speed manual. I have the car from brand new and the warranty will expire soon. I’m starting to make some plans to unleash the potential of the 1,8TSI in the near future. A local tuner with dyno told me he have been able to achieve 350NM and 230hp out of stock engines but I'm not aiming in max performance and I would like to keep the reliability of the car. As far as I know this engine has several torque limits depending on the application without difference in the engine hardware (I’ve compared turbo and fuel system part numbers). Code CJSA torque limit is 250NM for FWD with 6M or dry 7DSG in O3 or Leon. (my case) Code CJSB torque limit is 280NM for AWD with 6DSG in O3, Leon or Golf Alltrack. Code CJSC torque limit is 320NM for FWD with 6M in Superb 3. The offer is for custom tune based on my original map and I’m going to ask for a map similar to the map of a stock Superb or like a Polo GTI 6M with 320NM and 192h.p. so I won’t be bothered for the reliability of the engine. My concern is for the gearbox. My car has 6 speed 02S type of gearbox also known as MQ250 (max 250NM) which is shared with 1,4 TSI 110kW and 1,5 TSI 110kW. What is not shared is the clutch because 1,4 has a SMF with damped disk while 1,8 has DMF with rigid disk both 228mm. When mounted in Superb 3 1,8 is mated to 02Q gearbox a.k.a. MQ350 and the clutch is the same like O3 RS220 (same part number) with DMF and 240mm rigid disk. So basically I am more concerned for the clutch and gearbox. Sachs are offering a direct replacement 228mm kit “Transmittable torque about 15% higher than the OE clutch kit.” so a slipping clutch might not be the limiting factor and it is actually cheaper than the OEM part from authorized Skoda dealer. However I’m finding many complaints for broken 3rd or 4th gear or broken differential which is a big reliability issue and potentially major expense for new gearbox and labor. So I wrote this whole explanation because I want to ask if anyone has gone this route and what problems did they face? What is the safe torque limit of the gearbox (obviously 250nm according to VW) without fearing of sudden fatal failure?
