1st pics of the shiny turd, had it a couple of weeks now and loving the comfort compared to my old Fabia vRS Combi -
If Seb wasn't so hot headed, he could have let Lewis pass, instead of blocking him, then caught him and passed with DRS within 2 or 3 laps. He does seem to struggle with decision making when under pressure tbh.

I find it fascinating that no one seems to believe the accuracy of the cars computer mpg readings, and use another inaccurate method of measuring the fuel used (brimming the tank, although it might be slightly more accurate), but then use the same inaccurate cars odometer reading to obtain the distance measured (no one seems to question this). Even if the odometer was close to accurate when brand new, as the tyres wear the diameter of the tyres decreases, therefore the distance travelled gets less per revolution. Whenever i pass a road side digital speed sign at an indicated 30 mph on my speedometer (although you can't guarantee that sign has been accurately calibrated that day either) the sign indicates I'm doing 28 mph. Which means when my odometer says I've travelled 30 miles I've actually only travelled 28 miles. So unless you're in a lab under controlled conditions, using an accurate method of weighing the fuel used and an accurate method of measuring the distance travelled, you'll never get an absolutely accurate mpg figure. Better to just enjoy the car and keep an eye on how much disappears from your wallet in fuel bills per month, if that gets too much, you need to get a more efficient car to enjoy. If it goes down too much, you need to drive faster and have more fun, or risk falling asleep at the wheel

My Dad's had an Hyundai Ioniq on lease for the last 18 months £ 137 / month to replace his Skoda Superb as he no longer tows a caravan. He's that impressed with it he'll be renewing a lease on a brand new one next week. I've drove it a couple of times, very nice car, just lacks that little bit of oomph for my liking, or it would be my next car, if i can ever bring my self to part with the vRS.

Has anyone had this done? just wondering how big a job it is. I saw APR are advertising it for around £360 i think.

I've been browsing the forums for a few months, then realised i hadn't introduced myself (how rude, sorry) Great place for finding info, and some interesting characters here (George seems to be to be quite knowledgeable) Especially when it comes to my particular car, It's an early 2011 on a 60 reg, Skoda Fabia Estate 1.4 TSI vRS 5dr DSG in racing blue. I actually bought it almost 12 months ago, and it's been everything i hoped it would be so far. Regards Dave
