I can only find how to program a key fob, my spare key doesn't have any buttons, its just the basic key.

I decided to try my spare key for the first time yesterday, it opened the doors and started the engine for a couple of seconds and then cut out, the key light was flashing which I presume is the immobiliser light. The main key still works perfectly fine. Any ideas?

My passenger window has decided to stop working from the switch on the passenger door, the window will go up and down fine from the drivers side. I also checked the switch which seems fine.

I am thinking of changing the front ARB bushings to Super Pro, can anyone tell me the size or a part number would be even better, also is it worth doing? I recently replaced the standard wishbone bushings with Super Pro and didn't notice much of a difference. it's a Mk1 VRS running standard suspension

As the title says, what kind of BHP gains would I get from a cat back exhaust, there is a company near by that will supply and fit a magnaflow cat back for €350. I already have a stage 1 remap, K & N induction kit and SFS Oversized TIP. The car is running 204BHP at the moment

A friend of mine picked up a lovely vrs during the week, there is a horrible smell from the heater, its only when the fan is blowing hot air. He has have chaged the pollen filter and flushed the coolant so far, any ides??

Thanks but I think it might be something else, this morning was the first time I have drove on the motorway since the wheel bearing change. it doesn't feel right, something feels loose at the front end, I could feel something knocking under my foot. I'll have to bring it back into the guy that done the work on it. It's hard to find a good mechanic in Dublin

Hi All I recently had the front wheel bearing changed in a local garage, they also changed the ball joint as the old one was corroded. When I was driving yesterday I noticed a knocking noise coming from the front when I pressed the brake while turning. Any ideas??

Recently noticed this pipe was hanging loose in the engine bay, i now have it stuck with some insulation tape which has stopped the jerking at half throttle. Does anyone have any info, price or part no for this pipe

I don't mind spending a few quid if it does the job, i dont have much experience with car cleaning products, this is the first motor i have really looked after. Is there a wax that does protdction and extreme gloss? The meguiars stuff seems to be good. Changed the front end and another quick wash this weekend

The QD was just a trial, I would like to wax it before the winter. What wax would you recommend?

I have noticed recently the biting point of my clutch has got a lot higher over the last few days. I think the clutch could be on the way out. I want to start planning for a replacement, what is the best option?

I know, mine was exactly the same. I got one from a local breakers, it must be the same part number as the unit removed otherwise it will have to be reprogramed.

I had the same problem on my passenger door, after days of looking for damaged wires I ended up changing the window motor which sorted it out

Recently fitted an SFS Oversized TIP to go with a stage 1 remap and pipercross panel filter. Also spent 4 hours clay bar and polishing at the weekend

Here is the results of 4 hour work on Sunday, clay bar and polish/wax.

I have just removed the std tip, there is a pipe going into the std tip beside the turbo, there is nowhere on the oversized tip for this pipe. Any ideas?

I have just removed the std TIP to replace it with a sfs oversized, i removed the pipe beside the turbo but there doesnt seem to be anywhere on the sfs pipe for this. Im in the middle of doing this so any help wud be appreciated

I had the same problem with my passenger door. I replaced the window motor with a unit from a local breakers yard and it sorted it out.
