  1. Think I am supposed to set a price to post here - sorry. Will take £60 to the first person who collects, or bid and see what they go for. Fair enough?
  2. For sale on ebay - came off an octavia vrs. Good condition - bid away??!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301089598269?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  3. Selling a set of 5x112 audi rotor replicas with federal evo tyres. These have been on my car for 100 miles max before my Mrs noticed I had swapped wheels and all hell broke loose! Doh!! These are good quality replicas and superb budget performance tyres. These are Federal Evo 595s and not the crappy tyres you get when buying cheap wheel & tyres sets on ebay. Wheels also half inch wider than the cheaper copies and in the correct satin grey finish as per Audi RS models. Currently listed on the bay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301019867643?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 For sale at less then I paid at a bargain £800. Doh again.......
  4. Hi - would be happy to take £95 for the 4 part worns mate. Let me know if you are keen.
  5. Just putting spiders on my fabia with 45 profile tyres, so got 4 reasonable part worns available. 3 of them are conti sport contacts, not sure on the 4th. Not looking for loads - open to a sensible offer and speedy collection from Wallasey on the Wirral.
  6. Try shipping with https://www.paisleyfreight.com/ Very good on wheels - if somebody really wants them you can order a roll of bubble wrap from staples and ship to the seller to provide wrapping materials. That's what I have just done buying my set! Wish I had seen these 5 for the same money I paid for 4! Doh!!
  7. Fed up with ebay at moment - endless idiots in my last sales and I can't be doing with that again. It used to be great and have met loads of proper petrol heads through it, but now it seems to be idiots and scammers only! Sent the brakes to the scrap in the end!
  8. Hi guys - the pads are perhaps 50% worn I think and the discs perhaps 25% worn at most. I am based on the Wirral (between Chester & Liverpool) , but could meet up in the Essex are in a couple of weeks on my in-law visiting! Looking for £60 for the lot on paypal for a speedy sale - what do you think???
  9. Just upgraded my sisters 05 mk1 fabia vrs to larger brakes, so have a full set of standard callipers, carriers, discs (with loads of life left) and fairly good pads up for grabs. Open to reasonable offers and can package them up if you want to book a courier to collect (pretty heavy though - must be close to 30kg all in I guess??). Almost certainly going to do the same conversion to my car, so another good set up for grabs soon too! If anyone is returning there car to standard and wants a px deal I am open to a brakes & cash swap for 312mm front brakes.
  10. Hi - am I being dumb? Cant see a cable!!?? Any chance of the old pic back up so I can see what to do?
  11. Seat surgeons all the way - mine are superb and such a bargain compared to the factory leather. Can't speak of them highly enough!!
  12. Babs - try the m60 at 5.30pm - I can roll along in 1st and stutter away or stall in second. Through the speed restriction when things actually get going I seem to constantly be around 1800 rpm and on and off the throttle as every idiot in the world dabs the brakes for fun. If you don't want to join in on the sharing off technical info to solve this irritating feature that Skoda can't be arsed resolving then don't continue to read the thread. 'Scuse me, just off to retrieve rattle from floor........
  13. I suggested the side by side test at the dealers and they are too busy to fit me in while my sis is visiting me - she lives in Bedfordshire, I am on the Wirral. I have measured the stopping distances this morning and hers pulls up quite a bit faster and shorter than mine. Dealer is going to do a roller check for me - I will apply more pressure! After more testing hers is also a shed load punchier than mine - oh bum! Is this another ASZ/BLT issue!!!??
  14. I have a 56 plate VRs and have done 6500 miles in it - and the brakes are terrible! It has been into the dealer 3 times for rear brake noise which is present all the time Modified parts have been fitted to the rear calipers and it still grumbles annoyingly. My sisters 05 plate is a little noisy first thing in the morning, but it clears quickly once the surface corrosion is cleared. Mine is noisy all day! Compared to the 05 plate the brakes are also terrible - long pedal and a 'will it, won't it stop' feeling. My sisters has a great pedal and braking is sharp and consistent. Anyone else had problems with noise and efficiency? The dealer is doing the 'they are all like that sir' bit. Which clearly they are not!
  15. I have had a modified egr gasket fitted and also felt the running was rough after it had been done. I have just driven my sisters 05 VRs back to back with mine and hers goes like a ba***rd compared to mine - lots more punch low down. Mine has now done 6500 miles and hers has done 11000 so I don't see it being a running in issue. Her brakes are awesome compared to mine also - will be back to the dealers with a list!! Anyone else had simmilar experiences?
