  1. Since last service, 1,200. In a year. Sad really.
  2. Thanks all. My "service now" message came up yesterday and I haven't done NEARLY enough miles to warrant it. When I checked it was exactly a year since the last service, looks like the garage (not a VAG dealer) set it to fixed intervals. Re-set now and no more warnings, that should hold it for a year. I don't mind either way, at least I know now.
  3. Thanks, I'd seen that already - it was my second choice as it's more of a job, I'm not very bendy. :S A dry day at the weekend and I'll try it. Thanks
  4. I've just started having the same problem with the bonnet catch. Where did you use the WD40 please? I've been soaking the mechanism hoping that the electrical contact is in there, but no joy so far. Thanks
  5. Mine went at 34 months old and it was covered in full.
  6. Just thought I'd update this thread. I was going to be passing my dealer so I asked them about this. "No problem, bring it in and we'll do that" "How much" "No charge, it'll only take a minute" WTF!! a GARAGE said that!!! Well, took it in, 5 minutes later I was on my way, barely had time to finish my (also free) cup of coffee. Credit where it's due, they gave me a good price when I bought it (pre-registered) last year, fixed a minor scrape (my fault) at a reasonable price, and now this. I tend to have a low opinion of garages (just down from solicitors and estate agents in the money-grabbing-******** list), but this one has treated me well so far. 7. I've never understood that. If the mechanic can't get to the boot, how can he check the spare, or replace a rear bulb. I gather that the additive for burning off the particulate filter lives under the spare as well, how could he top that up?
  8. Hi, I've got a 2006 Superb Comfort. Every time I lock it with the remote I have to peer into it to see that the red light is flashing to be sure that it's actually locked. Does anyone know if it's possible to put some sort of audible blip on it so that I can HEAR that it's locked? Either a couple of bleeps from the horn or from the alarm siren or an add on "blipper" would do. Thanks
  9. Thanks all, doesn't help though. The de-activation switch for the rear windows doesn't affect the sockets, and hiding a socket isn't an option as I need to unplug my road angel every few weeks to update it on the Internet. Never mind, I'll work something out.
  10. I use mine to power things; Road Angel, phone charger, etc. But they don't go of with the ignition, so anything plugged into them stays on all the time. So far I'm just unplugging things when I park - I only got the car this month - but that could get to be a pain very quickly. Is there any way to set these to work through the ignition? If not I'll have to wire another cigar lighter socket in that DOES work through the ignition. It's a new Comfort 2.0 TDI if that matters. Thanks

    Hi

2.0 TDI So far I'm pretty happy with it, still taking it easy while it runs in.
