  1. Hi Ross. Car is looking the dogs mate. Glad you finally have your exhaust done. Have you had her on the rollers yet? Keep up the work lad ya flying with her now.
  2. Riverside racing in speke liverpool. Great lads that really know their stuff.
  3. I went straight from standard to stage 2 with dpf delete. Haven't looked back. Best thing I did. I'm pushing 220bhp and 327ftlb. Very very little smoke if I'm honest. Soot releases when booting it but clears up in a flash. Obviously I could have got more but we decided to keep to the lower end figures of a stage 2 for various reasons. 450 pound to gain 15 horses is a waste in my opinion though.
  4. Reset fan's. Hold ac and front vent button in until green lights start to flash. You will hear vents moving around. This cured mine as I got a regas and still wasn't cold. Done this the other week after suffering for months now cold as ice.
  5. Just to add to this thread. DTUK box is off my car for good now. My engine just doesn't like it at all. Remap only option for me now. Waste of 100 quid. Lowest setting I ends up on and after 200 mile till got fuel sensor and boost sensor fault, coil light and car wouldn't start. Took the box off, car now great but feels like a slug haha
  6. I'm with you on that mate it is at the end of the day just fooling the ecu. I'll go down the route of a proper map soon as I get back on my feet after Xmas and holiday. Too many mods on my list so one step at a time. For now the box is best bang for buck at 100 quid haha I've settled back down for 2 +2 as car runs smooth as silk so that's me done with faffing around with it
  7. Yeah I suppose it's finding wharf best for your vehicle isn't it really. 2-2 for me seems great though I miss the torque of map 4. What year of manufacture is your box? Mines from 2009 but I know the software changes all the time with these things from what I can gather. 4-1 was great for me though I did suffer the high tick over, just under 1000 rpm. Though I'd come to the next set of lights and it'd tick over as normal, strange one. Max setting was wow but didn't last very long till I got a flashing coil and car stuck in middle of the road at the lights. Gutted as this made the car very eager and feel alive with touch of the pedal. So I know my car is happy at 2-2 but I'm now experimenting with 4-0 see how that takes me for awhile without any issues.
  8. Hi. Does anyone have to hand maybe the dyno graphs they received with their dtuk crdt tuning box, ideally roughly from 2009? Got mine second hand and even though I can feel each map it'd be good to just see exactly how they're differing. Cheers.
  9. Gutted ill be lowerng mine down now as got the dreaded coil light flashing and car cut out in middle of the road. Gonna go 4-1 and take it from there I think. It's a shame cos +3 made alk the difference.
  10. Olly I have answered you on fb I know but thought I'd add my experience on here too. I have the LE myself and currently running a dtuk box at its highest setting and I have to say My car is running sweet with no eml lights or anything. I've done about 3k with this setting now so hopefully it'll stay that way. You get the beauty of being able to turn it down a notch or 2 to cope if we have bad weather also. I didn't just stick it on the highest setting straight away though I have built it up in stages. Each car is different so yours may not like max settings. It really transforms the car, no flat spots, PD like punch with the torque and revs right up to red line although I slip a gear once I hit 4500k rpm. Overtaking is a breeze and silly speeds can be reached with slight blast of the throttle. You have to be careful. My mpg has rose a little too on the motorway at constant speed which again is a plus. I'm a big fan of these dtuk boxes and only have good things to say. I'm sure there are people that have horror stories to tell? If you buy new DTUK customer service is second to none also I believe. I don't get that luxery though as I bought second hand and they won't touch me with a barge pole haha
  11. Do the - settings smooth the maps much? See I'm also debating whether all the maps produce the same power but each bring their own power delivery into play at different stages of the Rev range. Hard to gauge I suppose without a rolling road test. Think I'm going to change back down to 2-2 As the higher setting I'm on now is very punchy bit like a PD engine and very aggressive. I want to save my clutch for a few months atleast ha
  12. Can someone shed some light for me that has used these boxes past or present. I have purchased one off a fellow brisky member. As I understand there are 4 maps within the box (older crdt) which are set with jumpers. I am unsure do each of these maps increase bhp and torque levels the higher up the maps you go? IE map 2 =200 bhp approx / map 4 = 210bhp and so on. Also can anyone tell me what the +1, +2 and +3 jumper do exactly. I've read they "fine tune" the maps but read different stories about boost levels etc. Octavia vrs tdi 170 just to add.
  13. Box up and running again. Now on 4-2 and pull is great. Want to try 4-3 max setting but unsure.
  14. They are in Deeside now mate. Good lads and got the job done. Give them a search on Google they have a website mate.
  15. Yeah tell a lie miltek do offer one bow for the tdi. Have a gander on ebay lads.
  16. Awesome don't offer anything for our tdi mate. I got mine done at longlife in Cheshire. Custom only option pal
  17. Cheers guys. Sorry for delay it's been a busy few days sourcing a new actuator. TPS came to my rescue, Skoda and VW both a waste of space here in liverpool. Handed the part to the garage and should have my pride and joy back tomorrow. Can't wait, no fun driving a PUG PARTNER van haha
  18. My actuator has failed on my vrs. I have the 2009 octy vrs tdi cr limited edition. Problem is I don't know which actuator to buy as I haven't a clue what turbo is my car? Anyone shed any light please. Thanks.
  19. It is now mate. One of my cable ties wasn't tight enough and it's caught on the fan cutting through the boost wires. Soldering iron will be making an appearance now haha
  20. Any of the CR170 tdi guys running one? Recently purchased one second hand from a fellow brisky member and chuffed with the results of the box. Cracking fella too. Anyway the point I'm wanting to address is what map settings are you all running without any issues. I'm currently on 2-2 which is what it was set at on last owners vrs. It's very smooth but feel as though I could do with a little more torque at low revs. High end bhp is sweet at the moment so don't really wanna compromise the bhp. Any pointers would be appreciated.
  21. I've custom exhaust on my CR 170. It is naturally a quiet engine so it struggles are any real "sporty noise" Ibe got a straight through with a nice new tip, it's got a little more grumble to it but you have to be standing at the rear to hear it. Is it worth it? Probably not if I'm honest. Now if you do a dpf delete then I've been told it's a different story, that'll give you a nice sound when letting off the gas etc. Dpf holds all the noise on these bad boys.
  22. I'd be up for that like as long as it wasn't too far away!
  23. Wrapped grill. Matt black. New skoda badge front and rear New vRS badges front and back. Window tints. Limo. Middle and backbox delete. LED interior bulbs. Hid conversion kit Fly eye headlights. Vrs decals on calipers. Lots more planned........that leaves me on 9 at the moment. I've prob forgot a few more?!
