  1. I understand completely but I know for a fact 1000 for a working fabia vrs is rubbish Its not even got what people call high mileage 131k with cambelt and waterpump changed this year? tbf my mate paid 3995 for a standard fabia vrs 55 plate with 94k on and he had to pay to get belt and pump changed sooo
  2. I understand what you all are saying and the oil leak was picked up on the mot last month which passed but due to me loosing my job it's becoming a struggle to run with my insurance and everything , obviously the problems I put done affect me because I know it starts first time so I'm used to the EML Light etc but downgrading is the reason for sale
  3. So I recently advertised my fabia vrs, I put the modifications etc and the bad bits like the dint in the wing , the EML Light issue (Assured it was a relay for the glowplugs) and a oil leak (could be sump seal or something doesn't bother me) Anyway I thought £xxxx would be a good price but then I get messages offering like £---- , now im not stupid but wow
  4. ill just have to fly the fabia flag high then haha
  5. it was just pulling to the left very minimal obviously thought it was tracking but when your in boost it's very noticeable haha
  6. It's tied up atm , but I don't know what reason they'd be took off? , when it boosts it drifts to the left to could do with it doing really
  7. Might have a pop up on this , bout time I seen some good looking fabs and octys
  8. Thought my tracking was out on my fabia so I took it to a local garage to do it , they said it's fine but it hasn't got anti roll bar links , they said who ever has lowered it has not put some adjustable ones on? just wondering were I can get a pair for front of it cheers
  9. as i stated before i was looking for a fabia vrs and i went to view one today drove amazing no rattles or humming clutch was perfect and no un wanted noises coming from anywhere, had the belt and waterpump done in march with papers and a service pick it up in the week so ill be a regular on here
  10. I've been browsing around the idea of getting a fabia vrs , I've recently seen one with 138k with 8 service stamps and a recent cambelt and water pump change for 2700 , or one with 101k and a recent cbelt change for 2995 , just wondering what the crack is with them
  11. as you can see I'm new here , I don't actually own a skoda as of yet but I came her for info etc on the fabia vrs , so looks like that'll be my first skoda from Yorkshire aswell
  12. Well whilst I'm living at home I might aswell get a car that I can enjoy driving I don't mind paying the extra few pound a month , got to start off from the bottom
  13. cheers lads! noticed a few have asked about the insurance side of things I've been getting quotes for 2.4k , which my fiesta to insure was 2.1k and that's a 1.4 zetec.. so a few quid a month extra plus the 80 they want for a change over. I know the fabia isn't a massive car but I'm sure it's still bigger than my fiesta plus the bigger engine would suit me nicely, by the looks of it ill most likely be searching for one towards the end of may so ill keep an eye out and see if there's any little gems about! thanks again! rowey
  14. Alright guys , I've been browsing about for a change of car , I'm pretty new to driving (7months) I've currently got a fiesta haha but the car is too small for me the novelty wore off but seen a few fabia vrs about and I like the look of them and I know the pd engines are long lasting? so really just wondering what's the good points and bad about these cars? also an insight to the mpg as I'll be travelling 30 miles to work 6 days a week yeah so any information would be greatly appreciated thanks rowey
