  1. Thanks to you info got round to completing job today, went for the put them in the window first and went well..had to give the window a firm bump down while holding the carrier still and clicked in…putting back together went well and no left over screws which is a bonus😀 Thanks again for advice 👍
  2. I am at the point of trying to get the pins back in the glass…..tried it via the holes in the door ones all aligned but I cannot get the pins in and to stay when trying to get the locking pin in it all pushes through…..not tried the above way of putting the pins in the glass first….makes sense is this the way to do it do ? do have to pin the holder in place as you push down? Or is this a No No…comment below says not to do it? any help on how to get pins in front drivers door would be appreciated.
  3. Don't say that...aahhh...thought this was the easy solution...unplug the old one and plug in the new one....removing it is easy..its just getting to the connector at the end...I tried the lubricating it option and it worked for a short time...so its defo just sticking but replacing it seemed the best long term fix....just need to get to that connector at the weekend. Pete
  4. Hi Everyone I have had the well described problem on here of the fuel lock sticking and needing to be encouraged to open for a couple of months now, so I bit the bullet and ordered the part to replace it....this has arrived today..question I have is the connector through the rubber bung is connected in the boot behind the carpeted carboard sections and I cannot see a way of getting to it....any ideas? I cannot pull it through enough to do it through the hole..so its looks like I need to take the carpeted boot lining off the fill side of the boot which does not look straight forward...I found the 3 hooks with the hidden screws in the middle that hold it in place but it looks like the boot twindoor hinge and the audio box on the shelf in the boot may also be holding it all inplace too.....any ideas? Thanks in advance Pete
  5. Hi All Looking for some help in getting hill hold control HHC /XDC enabled on my 2013 Superb..anyone Available with VCSD to help in surrounding area. Thanks Pete
  6. Glad to hear it went well and you are pleased with the results...i agree there is great knowledge and advice given on this forum.
  7. Hi I have the same experience the signal quality does vary alot and this can result in no sound..also when signal strength is poor and I am flicking through stations it causes the odd lock up where is does nothing for 60 seconds or so and then catches up. But overall great little toy that makes waiting in the car for the wife so much more bearable. Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  8. Snap i got the same last week and i was impressed with the fit...looks really nice in your car Holder is nice and sturdy too and holds any Tablet size which is really helpful, I also added the little rear tunnel rubber mat which is a surprisingly nice fit.
  9. This is handy to know, never spotted this one ☺
  10. Hi I got some great info on removing the badges from this thread http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/322439-new-badges-fitted/page-3 This is for changing to the new badges but has great tips on how to remove..not sure about the engine badge or what you could put in in place of them.
  11. Hi I too moved from Continentals to Goodyears this year, mine are 18" and of all the places I found Kwik fit online the best price at the time(End of Jan) at £80.99 which is not too bad. I am very pleased with the level of grip and the noticeable difference in noise. time will tell what they are like for wear but all looks well so far. Another very happy customer here.
  12. Thought it was about time I uploaded a couple of pictures, just put on some mudflaps and then a quick wash and clean all round while we still have some sunshine.
  13. I know these are either love em or hate em but I took the plunge and purchased some mudflaps and put them on today. I got them from superskoda.com as I wanted original skoda and they were soo much cheaper than the local skoda dealer at £32 delivered for all 4 from SS I would recommend these. I fitted them today and I must say it was very simple, took 30 mins for all 4 and that included a bit of looking for a tool you can never find. I am really impressed with the look of them and how secure they are and I will upload some pic at the weekend if we have some sun. They look nice quality and fit as you would expect for genuine skoda
  14. Hi All Well I didnt even realise this was something to look out for, So I went out to check my car as I had washed it earlier and sure enough a nice pool of water at the bottom where the drain must be blocked. I unblocked mine by grabbing a can of air with a straw attachment and gave it a blast and it cleared it and the water disapeared. Think I will pick a extra can up from the pound shop next time and keep it in the boot. I will keep any eye on this now I know thanks Pete
  15. Hi, the gel badge arrived today, I am pleasantly surprised, nice chrome effect. Fit was good and left the old metal rim visible which is what I wanted. I will need to stare at it more to fully get used to it and see how it lasts. It stuck well with a quick blow with the hairdryer to make sure it bent a little round. I will let you draw your own conclusions from pics Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  16. Morning Just had a reply back and he had said these will be no problem and he has done quite a few of them...so I have taken the plunge and ordered one...I went for 41mm to hopefully get the Chrome of the original badge going round...If the quality is good and I need one a bit bigger I will have to order.
  17. Hi Silverdale, I am in the same position and would like a Gel badge for the steering wheel. I have found a seller on eBay that seems to say they will make customer Gel badges of any design. I have emailed them today to see if they can make a Skoda version for me. Search for this item number 252028172988...should be stick-it signs..... Has anyone had any experience with them? I will let everyone know if I get a reply.
  18. Just a quick update, The screw in the centre and some pliers worked a treat, I braced myself for them being tight and I am not going to lie I ended up on me Bum on the first wheel, they all came off relatively easily, Looks very nice with the new centres...I need to take some pics now. Thanks
  19. That sounds like a good idea..I will give that a try tomorrow.
  20. Hi All Thanks for the parts info, I fitted the front and rear badges today and all went well. I used a card that came with a screen protector for my mobile phone(the card you use to get the bubbles out)..it went behind the badge and I worked it round until the badge popped off, then the black backing I "rolled" with my finger and it all came off with no bits left at all. One questions any tips on how to get the wheel centres off, I am reluctant to take each wheel off and was considering sticking a small screwdriver in the middle and prizing them off that way..I assume there is nothing directly behind I could damage? Any tips would be appreciated.
  21. Lovely car, great mods you have done. Wheels are really nice and a fridge too! Great job
