As Skoda can not supply me with wiring sockets that go into back of radio I will have to sorce from breaker. The problem that I have is that I will need a wiring diagram to see where wires from sockets go, preferably coloured. Can anyone help please? Robert

    LED DRL's

I have a 2016 1.2 Automatic Yeti that I am very pleased with but would like to change the DRL bulbs to LED.It seems that some models do have LED DRL bulbs fitted as standard. The daylight running lights are part of the main headlights . I have had the fitted bulbs out and they seem to be twin filment small baynet bulbs. Has anyone come across replacement LED bulbs and if so have you got part number. Robert

    Spare wheel

My 2016 1.2 DSG Yeti came with out spare wheel only 'repair kit'. Over weekend managed to get a new full size alloy wheel and new tyre from a former owner of a Yeti. Has anyone come accross a lift up cover for full size spare wheel or is DIY job?. The chap I bought it off gave me a bracket to fit wheel standing upright but it means that I have to remove the boot cover that is attached to tailgate. Robert
  11. Having owned a Suberb and until today a Octavia (both automatic) today I stole a Yeti !!! Well not exactly stole but bought a 2016 Yeti 110bhp 1.2 automatic with 4561 miles on clock from Skoda main dealer at a very good price and even got £40 petrol FOC. From I gather it is an Ex Mobility car that has not been used for a year. Any problems with car, yes, its white but at price I got it at I don't care. Its got 9 months Skoda warrantee left plus an extra 3 months from dealer.Pick it up on Wednesday after it has full service.

  14. Problem solved. Should have read the handbook. There is a reset button under wiper stork which did the trick. Still don't know what caused the problem in the first place but working OK now. Robert

  16. I have an Amundsen + radio fitted to my Octavia and have mobile hand free but I have 2 mobiles one personal and the other business. Is there any way I can have them both working ? The personal is a Samsung and the other an Apple. When I try instal the Apple the radio whats to delete the Samsung. Any help appriciated. Robert
  17. I had this problem a few years ago on my Superb and was caused by blockage of sunroof drain pipes. If you open sunroof you will see drain holes on either side of frame. These drain holes run down windscreen frame and come out beside bottom door hinge. There is a rubber/plastic teet beside hinge which gets blocked.Pour some water onto the frame and then get your fingers to the teet and squease it a few times and you will aventually see all water coming through.Do this a few times until water runs clear. Robert
  18. A new thermostat was fitted by main dealer with no obvious difference and that is why I fitted grill cover. Robert
  19. Regarding overheating, I fitted it Jan 2016 and it has stayed on since.I've done a fair bit of motorway driving during summer and no problemsThere is a big grille under bumper bar and enough air gets through there. The cover is made by a company in CZ who have supplying after market parts for Skoda for a long time and it takes about 15 mins to fit. If I travelled on motorway all the time maybe not a problem, but most of roads where I live are 30 mph ( 50 kmph) and 50 mph (80 kmph ) before I get to motorway. I have driven many diesel cars in Russia and eastern Europe at temperatures of -30 plus, and this is one the poorest heaters that I come across.Well no it is not the heater it is the length of time it takes the engine to get up to running temperature.Prior to owning Octavia I had a Superb and did not have heater problems. Robert
  20. The engine on my 2010 diesel Octavia is very slow to warm up so it takes quite some time for heater to warm up so last year I bought and fitted a winter grille cover from superskoda .com which has done a lot to help engine get up to temperature quicker. Before fitting it could take up to 10 mile in cold weather to get any heat from heater, since fitting down to about half that distance.I have spoken to dealer and was told that this was a problem with diesel engines and also been in contact with Skoda UK and didnt get any good advice from them. Yesterday I was speaking to friend in Slovakia where it was -15 deg and subject came around to heater problem. He told me he does not have this problem as they have a factory fitted option of having a Wabasto type auxillery diesel heater fitted. Why do we in UK not have this option ?? Robert
  21. Thanks Dpearce, thats where I thought it would be. My model did not come with reversing sensors so I'm going to take door pillar trim off to drill hole to fit buzzer. Would appriciate a photo of your door pillar trim as I dont want to drill hole for buzzer that will interfere with seat belt. Robert
  22. Alright we all make mistakes, should as you know be 2010. The first flying car was invented in USA and flew in 1949 and is up for sale for $1,000000 Robert
  23. I have 2110 Octavia SE FL and have fitted some after market reversing sensors. Some models did have these fitted as standard and would like to know where the buzzer is fitted. Robert
  24. Oil and filter changed every 40,000 miles or 4 year which ever comes first. Not a DIY job as has to filled from bottom .Just had mine changed at officail dealer.Danny 57 is right there is a drain and filler plug combinded. I think I would be changing my service dealer if that is advice he gives you. Robert
