  1. I am using a Blaupunkt DAB 54 head unit with a window mounted DAB aerial fitted and a PC5-52 fitted to power the amp in the original analogue aerial. It seemed to work and the signal level was near max, but I have been listening to DAB for most of the time. A couple of weeks back I tried to listen to FM again because I went to France and I didn't think my DAB aerial was of the correct band, FM reception seemed bad, lower level and hissy even back in the UK. I have replaced the PC5-52 thinking that was faulty but it wasn't. What else could be the problem? The aerial base amp? A short? I have not moved the original aerial cable or touched the base. Thanks for any help.
  2. My set up seems to be different to this, when I start to remove the fascia part of the vent it seems to leave behind the louvre and adjustment dials. I have not looked further into it as I didn't have much time, so I put it back.
  3. I thought so, I have been bending the clips out but they do not seem to have any thing to grip on to. I will see how it goes. Thanks.
  4. When fitting my Woodstock 54 to my 01 Fabia, I find that the metal sleeve I am using will not grip in the dash board. I notice that the OEM unit did not need a sleeve. Are there differnt makes of sleeve or are they all the same? Currently you can pull my stereo right out with out much trouble.
  5. I know this may sound slightly obvious, but as i don't have a clue please humour me, do I need an automatic gear box for cruise control or will it work with a manual?
  6. Just another query for this, what is the best way to remove the pillar trims? Which way do the pull off? I don't want to break them. Is it towards the middle of the car, or forwards and backwards? Also what it best way to get the rear selt belt anchorage off? Sorry for seeming thick if it is a bit obvious to you all, but I dont want to have to buy more trim because I broke off the clips. Thanks.
  7. Yes the version I owned had the splitter in the base. I will probably go for the cheapest option then I don't have to have a Blaupunkt aerial for a Blaupunkt stereo. Thanks everyone.
  8. Yes the DAB/FM one as the thread title suggests. After the last one i bought didn't fit as the cars roof mounting also housed the screen washer, I bought a external window mount (just DAB), but since I got my Fab I want a dual use one. But is the JVC one the same unit, if so why is it cheaper? They both seem to be based on the one by Panorama Antennas Ltd. 9. I have seen Blaupunkt & JVC. (I used to own the Blaupunkt one but it didn't fit my old car) is there any difference as in the pictures they look the same? I know one costs nearly twice the amount of the other. Is there any other ones out there?
  10. I have just tried to remove my central air vents and have found it more difficult than mentioned. First off when I started to ease it out I heard the metal clips coming off, and found out that some had actually broken after they had worked their way down through the centre console. Also the left side does not want to come out and I don't want to break it anymore. Any ideas?
  11. Thanks for the advice, I was wanting to avoid creases. I try to drop as much of it as possible.
  12. Hi, I am wanting to put a DAB/FM aerial into my Fab, any tips on peeling back the roof liner? In my old car it would go back quite right when I did it, so I want to get it right this time. Thanks
  13. Hi guys, Just found this thread, and looking to put these on my Fab. So you all say I should used the Scenic rather than Fabia Aero blades. I am looking on the 1stAutobulbs site and it doesn't have a selection for Aerotwin, it just says Super Plus and Super Plus with spoiler, is it one of these I should select? And what is it about
  14. I have had a reply from Skoda, here is the official pin out from them. As to be expeected it is as mentioned in Octygone post, so it confirms Gala is on pin 1 and not anti-theft alarm as for the Symphony. Radio pin.pdf
  15. No it is not a symphony, but aren't the pin outs for the Fabia the same no matter what stereo is fitted?
