  1. Aftermarket audi is very difficult. All kinds of protection applied to OEM components. Canton also applies it's own DSP. You are better off accepting the stock system, which isn't that bad, and I came from a 10K custom install on my old car.
  2. You may wish to consider using a 3rd party product to further improve pedal response.
  3. There is a Canton setting in the sound menu to set listening up for Driver, Front or All. If set to Driver or Front there will not be much coming from the rear speakers. This is actually how it should be with the sound stage in front of you. However, if you prefer more sound from the rear speakers make sure the setting is on 'All'.
  4. Well I've found mine intermittent, it works most of the time, but not as unresponsive as in your video. I've got 5yr warranty so I'm not desperate to get fixed yet. It will be interesting to see how they approach it if a fix is decided - whole new wheel or just the cluster of buttons affected.
  5. Let me know how you get on. I may need to do the same at some point.
  6. Mine occasionally plays up but nothing as bad as in your video. Maybe one or two blips it doesn't respond. Not enough for me to bother the dealer with at the moment. If what was happing in your video to mine I'd be straight down to dealer to show them that and get it replaced.
  7. LOL they should re-name these things BellyButton Ports.
  8. Rather an odd idea to make a video comparing these, and the type of tests, but there you go. I was having a few chuckles at the comments.
  9. I use the DogBag popup tent in the back of my estate - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004JR5A3C/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&me=
  10. I also suffered from a squeaky rear (oh dear)! I have now got Bosch all round and the silence is golden.
  11. This link works ok for me : http://webspecial.volkswagen.de/infotainment/de/de/manuals/nav-companion.html?d1=discoverpro&type=poiNavigation I use Firefox 55.0.3 on Windows 7.
  12. As per BillyJim, my install is pretty much identical to this.
  13. Has anyone tried these Ossen 2017 New Design H8 H9 H11 LED Headlights Xenon White 6000K Automotive Headlight 9600LM 60W Auto Car Lamp Fog Light H7 H4. Looks like they would fit a 280? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ossen-2017-Newest-H7-LED-Headlight-Bulbs-60W-9600LM-Automobiles-Car-Headlights-6000K-Xenon-White-12V/32817779253.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.1.gKsRhf&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_5_10152_10208_10065_10151_10130_10068_10192_10190_10301_10136_10137_10303_10060_10155_10062_437_10154_5300011_10056_10055_10054_10059_303_100031_10099_5320012_10103_10102_10096_10052_10053_10107_10050_10142_10051_10084_10083_10080_10082_10081_10110_519_10111_10112_10113_10114_10179_10182_10184_10078_10079_10073_10123_10189_142,searchweb201603_50,ppcSwitch_5&btsid=28b1b7f7-0455-4ae9-b868-e5162ccc9a63&algo_expid=a5c37520-4745-49bc-af87-650ffe7ec732-0&algo_pvid=a5c37520-4745-49bc-af87-650ffe7ec732
  14. I think I'm lucky the only wind noise in my car is self generated. It's usually at that point I increase wind noise by lowering the windows to alleviate that problem
  15. I have the opposite problem Nick. My Mrs likes driving the 280 but she's got a heavy right foot. Now I've fitted the Response Control my head imprint is on the headrest rather than the windscreen
  16. A fellow 280 owner asking about ECO mode, tut, tut
  17. Never liked drag clutches, prefer them in proper clothes.
  18. I'm blaming the vodka and beer. Is it only Tuesday? Oh dear god :(
  19. Yes, when I sit in my seat, there are no brake lights.
  20. I like Coast, it has interesting stories and captavating presenters.
  21. I've got fat recently. So much so I have considered 'running'. There are places that are dedicated to this activity. Howerever, I had not considered I could be running in a TSI Engine. It sounds exciting. A new envoironment where maybe I can be distract from the fact I am running. Yes, I like this!
  22. Well that sucks. You'll need to go round the whole send it back and wait for a new one dance. They will refund postage if you send them a copy of your receipt, however, 1 week later I am still waiting for them to refund my money even though they have all my details. I hope you kept the original packaging
  23. Good luck. I got mine and when fitted it threw all kinds of errors up on the dash. Have had to return it last week and still waiting for a replacement. Let's hope this one actually works when it arrives. Installation is much easier if you remove the little storage drop down drawer under the headlights switch. To remove it, open it, unclip at the bottom left, ease it out to clear the plastic at the top which stops it from opening all the way out, then unclip at the bottom right. Re-install it in reverse order. It's actually a nice compartment to store the controller if you don't want it on show.
  24. I take a different approach to playing media in the car. I just use playlists for playing music files. You can create a playlist of all the tracks on the USB and store it in the root. Then you select the playlist for playing in the car and hit the random play icon. I use Winamp to create playlists but I'm sure most media players on a PC/MAC can create them. This way it doesn't matter how your folders and files are structured because the playlist points to the file including the folder path. The only thing to remember is when adding / removing music files the playlist needs to be updated.
