  1. hey guys bought a 2015 vRS Octavia III TDI with DSG for 1,5 month ago and since day 2 as the lucky owner of my 3rd Skoda and 2nd vRS Octavia been thinking of a remap. Since I live in Sweden, we have some local actors for mapping such as BSR and Vtech (both used on my previous Skodas and other cars) but i haven't been convinced of their effect gain for my car. BSR which is the oldest and largest actor in mapping cars offers 213hp and 440 Nm with an average gain of only 20 hp for 6000SEK (600 english dollars). I tested this on my car for 1 hour and wasn't amazed at all so I didn't go for it. (had 3 cars before with BSR map w.o any problems and good performance) Now i found a tuning company close to where I live (South swe) who sells Celtic Tuning for only 3000SEK about 300 quid.. But since last year I've been a member here and everyone talks/writes about Shark, almost no mention of Celtic.. My questions than: any experiences you guys have with Celtic, Celtic VS Shark experiences, any problems with Celtics mapping? I would also like to ask someone here if you guys know what's the top torque for this DSG (DQ250) cuz what I heard and read the limit goes at 450Nm, but Shark offers 500Nm.. how does this affect the cluct and double mass flying wheel? thx in advance!
  2. wooow!!! car loox phenomenal! those wheels are legendary, why the heck doesn't skoda, vw och audi have this design in the dealers OEM option list? please do not do anything else with the car (exterior wise), it really is perfect now! cheers!
  3. Hi Leon car is looking real good now when you lowered it! have you measured the difference in inch/cm? I lowered as well with the exact same H&R kit and to my big supprise the car got lowered 50mm in front and 55 in the back! from 71cm (top of wheel arch to floor) to 66 in the front and 72 to 66,5cm.. BTW when are you putting back the 19's?
  4. big congrats from me too Marcin!
  5. okey... thx for the answer and the links, i guess i now need to look for a mate in south sweden.. cheers and good luck with yr project!
  6. I like! please tell me how do you activate these stuff and explain some of the others... I'm new owner of a Superb TDI140 DSG MY2013... And than the project started. The following was activated, so it became a little bit more generous with features: cornering lights XDS - whats this?? right mirror dip with reverse gear - This one? DRL off with turn signal active -This one? cruise control speed display Thanks
  7. since 2007 running on diesel... cheaper to run but not faster.. :( my previous turbo cars a volvo and a saab run both on petrol and were mapped and both did 250km/h+.. The RS wouldnt go faster than 230 after remapping (205 HP and 420 Nm) and the BigBoy (Superb) was not maxed yet..
  8. well as i wrote mine lasted for 8 years and 210 000 km.. and the car is still rolling... what I would add is that H&R 40mm will not lower the Sport suspension on the RS by 40mm but only about 25mm, But you guys know this i guess
  9. what i read and heard from different people is that one should not use more than 40 mm lowering springs with original shock abs.. In my case i had as well a different ET (35) on the wheels (summer) so with 3 persons in the back and bumpy roads turned out to be less optimal. with original wheels howeer it was OK..
  10. Marcin, I would go for H&R 40mm.. had it on my last Octy RS for 210kkm, its still comfy enough and you wont mess up the car.. check out this link, some pics of the Black: http://www.garaget.org/?car=57475
  11. very nice! I love the wheels! what kinda ET do you have on those?
  12. Agree w U, i was thinking more in terms of aesthetics.. and my point was that cost wise there is no big difference but appearance wise it is. And speeking of ride quality, has it been discussed here which (big) tires has the best comfort sound wise.. I searched the net for some quiet 19 tires w.o. any big success...
  13. Guys, not to be a snob but if u can afford a Superb MY 2010 and + , why couldn't you afford to pay a bit extra for a pair of tires (normally i change them in the front every second year)? Comfort wise i totally agree that driving on baloon tires will give u a smooth ride. For me (with two small children age 1 and 3) there was no question changing my Trifid 17" to 19" (if roads in Sweden would be better even 20") summertime, looking now for a nice pair of 18" Skoda/VW/Audi for winter to replace my old 18" Zeniths from my previous Octavia RS.. the Superbs got big wheel arches, they need to be filled with less air (lowered) and lots of ALUMINIUM..
