  1. adrian flux are only cheaper if you HAVE modified the car!!!! with Flux it would cost £640 to insure my felly as STANDARD. but spec ALL the mods and it came down to £220!!!!!!!
  2. i've just priced up the parts for building a full set of coilovers using Bilstein dampers and bits from rally designs.co.uk i'm up to £380 just for the parts!!!!! or £300 using generic pattern parts dampers i might (when i have the money to get the parts together) build some for sale.
  3. RE the suspension. I got the last set of felicia specific coilovers in the country i think. sorry
  4. are you using the diesel gear box tom? mine bounces of the revs at 120MPH
  5. tom. as i can see from the sticky thread on lowering that you got some front lowering springs. so how about a set or R32 springs, dampers and felicia bearing carryers machined out to take the R32 struts swap for the ported head?>??????????????
  6. start with new bushes and dampers. thats gunna be half your problem i'd think
  7. Vallon A felicia made in 2000 should be a post-face lift, and to the best of my knowledge should have an anti roll bar. the only reason i can think of for it not having ARB mounts is that someone has fitted pre 1998 wishbones on post 1997 bushes.
  8. can i still have the AEE head tom?????? i still have the 1.6 lowering springs if your intrested.
  9. tryed this. its not possible because of the brace between the two bolt holes on the caliper.
  10. i think you gunna struggle with this. rear discs. you'll want mk2 golf GTI stub axles callipers and discs as for the front. you'd be best off using 8/16 valve corrado front discs with a spacer ring and willwood callipers with a custom calliper holder. all of the above is explained in more detail in other threads, just used the search bar.
  11. i'm gunna cut the lower spring cups off the R32 dampers, and weld on some coilover converters from "rally designs" then i can get springs to match the engine and the ride hight i want
  12. my granddad used a 1.3spi fav silverline to tow a caravan all round europe.
  13. i take it the rear stubs and discs are mk2 golf. but what are the callipers??????
  14. ok. Rolls Royce merlin in a smart car! and i mean the 1500BHP super charged version.
  15. iirc skoda did this as a factory team for a while. putting 6th were reverse should be and reverse outside.
  16. however front shocks from a mk4 golf will fit... eventually.
  17. there is a 1.6 petrol plate whitch will match all the "small block" engines the 1.9 diesel plate will match all the "bigger block" vw engines. just be carefull about how much vw pig iron you shuv in the back as they are all cast steel blocks.
  18. you need to use a new nut, the reason they fail is because they have become brittle and the shoulder brakes off.
