  1. Quick Question for all you knowledgable types, I have a 1.0 TSI 3 Cylinder Fabia (2018) 95 BHP. Does this have a Wet or Dry Cam Belt ? I ask because I have heard so much about the Ford ECOBoost issues and I was wondering if Skoda had designed their Small engine the same way ? Thanks
  2. Looks like Skoda have discounted there Service plans , including the 'All in One' Seems like a resonable deal now, if your planning on staying with skoda Servicing...
  3. Just to help confirm everyone comments, the Skoda website now appears to have removed all mention of the Cambelt 5 yearly Change in its maintenance section.. Looks like it is no longer a thing... 🙂
  4. @varooom Great piece of information, exactly what I needed. I have just performed the update using the original 0480 files provided by Pab and this has worked perfectly. The system is now fully updated. Turns out I have got an SD card reader, its hidden in the upper right corner of the Glove box in a recess. I used that to perform the update. Thanks again varooom much appreciated. Updated images attached 🙂
  5. @varooom Thanks for the Quick reply 🙂 I have the software train version below. I assume from the similar train version string the previous software Pab supplied can be used ? Thanks again for your assistance
  6. Hello, I have just purchased a used fabia, @pab567 has previous supplied the latest 480 (MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T) software for my Karoq . Could somebody please confirm if this can be used for my Fabia headunit (Pictures below). Please note this unit does not have sat nat or an SD card , however I assume the update can be done using the USB port ? If I need a different version of software would sombody please post ? Thanks very much for any assistance
  7. Hi @pab567 I am also running version 0478 on H41 head unit. are you happy that version 0480 is reliable enough to release ? If so would you be able to PM me a copy, Thank you for your time as always...
  8. I realise this topic has been covered in various degrees, but I cannot find an exact answer. Hopefully one of you clever folks can help ? My car is reporting its due an oil service in 3000 miles and an inspection service in 4000 (approx). I am on long life (extended) servicing. Skoda seem to have changed their service recommendation to 'oil and inspection' every 12 months and an extended scope service every 2 years in addition to the annual 'oil and inspection' https://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/servicing-maintenance-fixed-price My question is why does my car quote different milage ETA's for what is the same service, and as I am on Extended servicing I assume the above statments on there website do not apply to me (if they do what is the point of an extended servicing if I still need to get it serviced annually). Finally what should I be doing with my car, I assume just continue to only get it servived when it tells me too ? (My default policy at present) Thanks Folks for any of your views
  9. Just to Say a big Thanks to Pab567, I have upgraded my headunit successfully from 0475 to 0478, although a seemingly small update there were a 103 internal component upgrades (presumably files in flash) that were updated (Including some CPU, Dab radio and Nav updates). All done in 20 mins with no errors logged (at least checking afterwards using Carista). Its nice for the brave few who are comfortable to perform this update to have the choice to do so. Thanks Again..
  10. Hello Pab567, Sorry to add to an already busy thread, if you get the opportunity to check my version (Late 2018 Karoq) I would be very grateful. (sorry about the dusty bits, you don't realise how dusty it is until you take a picture in the sunlight !). Thank you for your time..

I am concerned that not only are Red cars none existant in this thread, but I can't see any Scouts Either ! Helpfull I can fix both issues with a few Pics of Mine. Karoq Scouts are a dying bread now that Skoda have stopped producing them.... 😕
  13. My Fabia 1.6 TDI has 205k miles on the clock. Owned from New and also have had no issues apart from a failed exhust sensor at 60K and air intake sensor at 180k. Cam belt at 140k and dealer service every 10k miles.. Lovely Car, I too would also buy another when mine eventually pops..
