So if the radio is connected to a different car it will then ask for a code? do you mean the VIN no from the doner car or of the new one?

I'm pretty sure it does not need a code as it's paired to the car, I know when I removed the battery some time ago, when I reconnected it did not ask for a code hence my question would it be of any use to fit in a different car

Hi I recently sold my Octy and left the sat nav in cause dealer offered £500 extra, so I'm now left with the original Stream radio. I beleive this will only work with the car it was originally installed in so my question is would I be able to sell it ?

Same problem here and if I bang on the roof next to the aerial it seems ok for a while. Must get it booked in!!

My radio reception has become very poor and if I tap the base of the roof aerial it comes back for a while. Can the aerial be removed from outside or is a headcloth job?

There seems to be many options ie remaps, chips & self programming devices. Could people who have had there 2.0 Tdi tuned give there opinion on the best method Thanks

Took car in for servicing today & no mention was made of any error codes due to fitting MFD2 seems to work ok anyway. Any Vag-Com people in the North Yorks area?

did your MFd2 work without recoding the can gateway as per stu's website, and if it did what are the disadvantages of not recoding? cheers Geoff
