  1. Hi. Just bought another Fabia (Mk II) with alloy wheels. .Unfortunately no locking wheel nut tool with the car. Looked on ebay but there are loads of different styles available. Reluctant to buy one in case I get the wrong one! Any suggestions on how to obtain the correct tool without going directly to the main dealer?? Thanks.
  2. HI I have a problem with the door lock,It will lock with the key but will not open , I have to open it by using the passengers door. I have followed the instructions in the Haynes manual but he cylinder will not come out ,even with the screw out (TORQS). Any help or advice to cure the problem please Thanks Octifab
  3. Hi u lot. I am wanting to change the gearbox oil on my Fabia. Skoda recommend G50 Synthetic Gear Oil Viscosity SAE 75W/90. On ebay, I have seen Britoil (Euro Oils) 75W/90 Synthetic Gear Oil GL5 made by uklubricants. Have tried to email them to see if this oil is suitable but there seems to be a problem with their email address. Could anyone tell me if this oil would be ok. Cheers. Steve
  4. Hi all, Am I correct in thinking that the reversing light switch on my Fabia (2002) is on the front of the gearbox? The one that is fitted, I think, has two wires going to it. On mine, both disconnected. One wire is black with two red tracers and the other wire is black with two blue tracers? Can anyone confirm that these are going to the reversing light switch. Steve
  5. Hi, all you Skoda enthusiasts. Having had various makes of car, we are back to the Skoda family once again. This time with a Fabia Mk 1 1.9 sdi, having previously owned a Felicia 1.3 Estate and an Octavia 1.9 tdi. We look forward to making contact on the Forum and obtaining and exchanging knowledge. Will look into what events might be local to us. Cheers. Tracy and Steve. (Octifab)
