  1. 1 mistake and the car could be written off. With ESP...it could be worth the £400. I thought it was. As I say its not just traction and stability. Look in the handbook. It explains it really well. In theory you can go round corners faster:eek:
  2. ASR is standard on all VRS. It is basically traction control. ESP was £400 factory option. It incorperates ASR, aswell as EBD(electronic brake distribution) and a stability control. If when cornering fast the car starts to loose grip, the stability brakes wheels to get traction back and keep the car going around the corner instead of the nearest field. There is a proper description in the handbook. I paid extra for it.
  3. Agreed, they are all over the place. I sold mine at book price, I was asking to much at first and of course it never sold until I reduced it.
  4. Was looking around and think the newest VRS version is the ALFA ROMEO 147 Ducati. I know it costs more but is far more advanced and looks like a worthy sucesser. Only 300 though! Love It:thumbup: www.alfa147ducati.co.uk
  5. Having been looking around for another VRS all I find are overprced examples. Anything priced properly seems to sell within 48 hours! I am not stupid and wont pay over the odds, as are most people. I bought mine brand new for £12100 in red with sunroof, ESP, cruise and extra headrest in 05. Sold it for £8000 Oct 07 after having Angel tuning remap and Full leather (not just dealer fit). I know the book value is now around £5000 so I did OK, but all the cars for sale now are still well expensive , some still ask 8 grand for cars nowhere near as well specced:eek: We know they sit around for ages. People gradually realise and come down massivly...if they need to sell. When will people wake up?
  6. Continental contact 2 were on mine and are very good. If they are a bit pricey try BF Goodrich or Toyo.
  7. Miles a tad on the high side but ones with leather are hard to find. 5 grand should get one with less than 50000 miles on and seat surgeons in York will fit leather for about £800:)
  8. My brother had a Seat Leon Cupra R 210bhp. My VRS with a Angel tuning remap was every bit as fast in a straight line. Remember though, you need a lot more BHP to make a difference in speed. If a car with 200bhp does 150mph, the same car with 400bhp will not do 300mph!!
  9. I had mine remapped with them from when the car was a few months old. Brilliant! I recommend them.
  10. I dont get it. Are you saying your Fabia is worth £12500??
  11. this consists of 2 parts. A trumpet, and a pipe. The standard trumpet intake hole is about half the size of the PD 160s trumpet, and the bigger pipe fills the gap in the engine niceley. To be honest, I never noticed a difference even with a Pipercross filter.
  12. Sounds like a scheme for MOT stations to make money by sticking their stickers on your number plate!!
