  1. Whats the scout like with the DSG? I have been reading horror stories about hesitations (especially when slowing for a roundabout and then needing some instant power) and of jerkiness when setting off of you apply power too quickly after releasing the brake. Does the scout have enough 'creep' for hill starts? S.
  2. Noticed you parked in the multi-storey car park? How do you find the manoeuvrability of the scout in tight spaces? S.
  3. Thanks all. All the reviews give the scout very good handling for the kind of car it is.
  4. Let us know how you get on - The scout is on my shortlist!
  5. Watching one of the reviews on the Octavia Scout on youtube, they said the scout actually handled better than many of the cars in the range as it had a better rear suspension setup, but they didn't say what that was. Anyone know what suspension the Scout has on the rear? (multi-link?) S.
  6. Does anyone know if the new TomTom Go App on Android or TuneIn Radio works using MirrorLink on a Columbus head unit? S.
  7. Anyone had dealings with Lancaster Skoda Milton Keynes? Good or Bad? This is my local dealer and should I change my Sportage for an Octavia Scout, this is probably where I would go. I have had such good experience with the Kia dealer in Dunstable (Grovebury) and such a horrible experience with Ford in Aylesbury (Perrys - never touching perrys again) I was wondering where Lancaster would stand. Steve
  8. What's the Octavia like for internal rattles? My one year old Kia Sportage creaks and groans and rattles like an old ship of the line. I really hate it. Dealer say they can't sort it. Prior to that I had a Ford S-Max for 4 years without one rattle. S.
  9. Thanks - that sounds good. With my Kia sportage I have to have my MP3 music on a CD as it's only got a single USB...It seems so old fashioned now to use a CD! Also, will it stream bluetooth audio from a mobile phone? I often like to use "Tune In Radio" on my android mobile to listen to obscure radio stations :-) Steve
  10. Just thinking about upgrading to a Scout (from a Kia Sportage). I see that there are 2 SDCARD slots in the glove box as well as a USB slot. Is this for both the Amundsen and Columbus units? Can I use all 3 at the same time and switch between them or is one or more used for the satnav data? (I would like to have one source with Music and one source with Audio books on). When playing MP3 off the SDCARD or USB does it carry on playing from the point when the ignition was turned off? Can I switch from playing say an audio book on the SDCARD to music on the USB, and then when I switch back to the audio book it will carry on from where it left off? Thanks Steve
