Hi all, I'm currently 18 months into a 42 month PCP deal and although I'm really happy with the car, I've recently moved from permanent employment to contracting, therefore my mileage has gone up from around 5,000 miles per year to (if it continues as is) 30,000 per year - a big change in circumstance and employment for me. I believe I could hand it back and walk away after that 50% milestone, go in and trade it in for a diesel or just continue to throw miles onto it and pay the excess mileage. What would you recommend doing? Thanks a lot.

I've heard that I can give the car back after I've paid back 50% of the value of the car, however wanted some advice on potential other options, if any above what I've mentioned. Thanks. Curious to Monthly Payments
randomeclipse replied to YorkaBara's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I suppose you'd have to see both to do a proper compare, but for me my car insurance covered the first year with its new car policy, then I picked up the GAP for another 2 years to cover the majority of the period off. I was told the dealers place such a high markup on the GAP because it's one of the items they can make massive profit on (if you compare their prices to that achievable on the web) and it's the same with their Diamondbrite offering. -

Nice one. -
That would be the cheap fleet rates, surely, instead of the space?

I used gapinsurance123.co.uk if I remember correctly. -

Are they still available at this link, as I'm not having much success finding them? -
Yep it's pretty annoying to be told 20 times over a single journey.

What is your Maxi dot most displayed option?

Current speed for me. -
It's 2016, nobody uses their garage for its originally intended purpose anymore.

Ours is £103 a month over 42 months and we didn't put a penny down. The loyalty discount helped (£500), and they knocked another £1000 off the list price too. We plan to keep it and chop the Octy in.

I didn't start work until 12, so when I went out it was already fully defrosted :p -
Simply not so clever.

Same thing happened to me this morning, easy to fix but it's not really that "clever" a place to store it really. -
Yeah, but nobody wants an S :p .

Make a complaint, you'll probably get some money back if she mentioned that in the description.

I plan to keep the Citigo so PCP was the only option, however as I plan to chop the Octy in I may check the available options again in 18 months and see what's what.

noise when steering in full lock

Pretty sure I had this when turning left on full lock. Will check again when I'm next out. -
I don't really understand why you'd need parking sensors on a car that's so small and square.
