  1. On the plus side I have noticed a slight increase in mpg lol
  2. Replacement High pressure pump including diagnostics and testing of the faulty one cost £650 had new timing belt fitted, fuel filter etc. Few hours labour. Will put a breakdown up later, in work at the mo. Was expecting a bigger bill than I had tbh. Total cost was £1041
  3. Got my car back. No swarf found in fuel lines or filter so got lucky. Local garage came up trumps with labour and parts. cost just over a grand in total for the whole job. Glad to have it back just the bank balance is looking sick now.
  4. All I have not joined here to give anyone bad press and am genuinely gutted about my car. Terraclean weren't interested at all when I broke down and denied the treatment could have caused the failure which immediately didn't go down very well. Its only done 41000 miles so never expected the pump to be at fault. Might be a very bad coincidence it failed half hour after the treatment. I'm sure there would be plenty of users on here that would soon pipe up if they were in the same situation. I'm having the pump rebuilt/refurbed to hopefully keep costs down. Wish I never had the treatment done (just my opinion). Will never know truely if it would've failed on its own accord. May have been very bad luck ? Guess I'll never really know. Hopefully will get the car back this week been off the road for nearly 3 weeks now.
  5. Hpfp fail due to lack of lubricity of pump. My advice to anyone is don't put anything other than diesel through your fuel lines ! Still in garage going through rebuild. :( will be going through small claims court. Don't know what's in terraclean but it doesn't lube the pump sufficiently. Have a full report to help back me up :(
  6. Hi, spoke to terraclean almost straight away. they sent a guy to my garage to check over my car but basically denied that the treatment could have caused any damage. My garage are on my side and have requested a full report on the pump, test data etc. Just hope its blocked. They can strip and rebuild the pump but can't get spare parts for the later model pumps apparently (if the pump is the problem). I thought it would be good for my car and looked for any negative reviews before I went ahead with it tbh. You live and learn I guess
  7. Hi mate, Pontypridd terraclean, mobile service. Just hope its crap in the pump. Garage where im having it repaired have been good to be fair (not charging me too much labour). The guys in the garage basically told me don't mess with the cr engine while its running well :( will have a full report from the place testing the pump Monday hopefully so fingers crossed. Don't know if the terraclean caused the problem may have been very bad luck ? I should find out when they inspect the pump.I guess I got sucked in by all the good reviews and got unlucky.
  8. All sensors, injectors rails checked. Low pressure pump checked, filters etc. The only thing left is the high pressure pump ! Spent an hour talking to my local mechanics who explained to me and showed me all they have done . pump has got to go for testing ! He thinks there's a blockage within the pump. Not happy at all :( will be sent for testing today so should know Monday if its knackered or not :(
  9. No real news as yet got to ring back tomorrow. They think it may be the fuel pump said they are trying to get wiring diagrams ? Guess I'll find out more when they know
  10. Hi guys, thanks for all the replies car is being looked at today so fingers crossed its a simple fix. I probably didn't need to get it done but I like to look after my car and after reading all the reviews thought it would be a good idea and wouldn't do any harm. The car broke down about 10 mins after the treatment :( just seems like very bad luck if it isn't the treatment. £108 out of pocket and my local garage hasn't started on yet. Hope its something simple, will find out in about 6 hrs time
  11. Hi guys any of you had issues with terraclean ? Car has been running fine but after reading all the great reviews thought I would give my engine a treat. Take the car for a spin yesterday about an hour after treatment and the thing died. First coil lights on then engine lights then limp mode. Then totally died had to be towed would turn over but not start tiwed by the AA to my local garage. Codes read at roadside as low fuel pressure. P****d off ain't the word . terraclean came this morning and said it was nothing to do with the treatment, yet car was fine yesterday ! Car is stuck in garage now just hope I ain't gonna have a huge bill ! Any thoughts on possible cause ? I would definitely not recommend. Thanks
