Thanks WINO. Can’t get hold of the owner right now to get the code but I’ll check it thoroughly when I get to see it tomorrow. Don’t want a PD 2.0. I’ve got a Yeti 2.0 CR 170 with 415,000 miles on it so ‘nuff said. I think after doing some research that the PD was phased out in 2008 so I reckon I’ll probs be in luck. Cheers.

Thanks for reply but I was under the impression that all EA189 engined cars were up for the recall ??

I’m looking to buy a 2010 2.0 140 bhp Octavia. This would have the EA189 engine. I looked up on the Skoda Emissions checker to see if has had the “fix” and it states “This vehicle is not affected, enjoy your Skoda” Does this mean it’s had the emissions fix done ? I’m confused. Anybody ? Cheers.
