I've had my TDI VRS Estate since September and I am absolutely loving it! The combination of pace, space and real world performance for the money are great. IMHO the current Octavia is one of the best overall designs on sale at present. It reminds me of the Audiy A4 B6 design and for me is Bauhaus esque in its design.

They should have put the BiTdi 2.0tdi 240bhp, made it 4x4 and called the VRSR.......I would definitely have been signing up for one then and if it made it to these shores. IMHO of all VAG brands on sale at present Skoda has the best overall design.

Sorry for the delay its been a hectic week so far! I like the Smartlink, mainly using the Apple CarPlay, there are a few things in term of the functionality I would change e.g. the ability to change songs on the maxidot dispplay when you have music playing through Carplay. Not a deal brekaer mind. I have been trying out the Smartgate on and off, Im struggling to see the benefit / value of it with the apps, more of a distraction than anything else. But that being said I need to give it some proper play time. Loving absolutely loving the VRS, delighted with the car! fantastic machine! :-) :-)

Spoke with my dealer today, I should have mine on Monday 7th. I ordered on June 6th, so 3 months pretty much.

The Emden ferry docked in Dublin today so it should have a fair few cars on it. Mine is on it according to my dealer

Mine is nearly here! 7-10 days from now!

So just had a email from my dealer and my car will be on the Emden ferry docking in Dublin on August 31st. They reckon 7-10 days after that I should be in it. I ordered on June 5th and it was built week 29, so all in all it looks like 3 months which is not so bad. The end of the waiting is in sight!

ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Just had an email from my dealer (Naas) and the car didnt make the fecking ferry! and looks like it will be 3 weeks until the next one and 2 weeks after that before I will get the car. Apparently the ferry has a 700 car capacity and there was 1000 cars on the dock and mine was left in the 300 remaining cars! They should introduce simply clever PDI Service at the docks in Emden whereby if your car is left at the dock you can fly over, collect it and drive it home!

Sweet machine! Can't wait to get mine but not with the 19's! Well ware Bailer!
