  1. RRP with 205/60R16 winter tires on anthracite painted wheels. Hmm, need bigger profile for the summer as well.
  2. Here's my 4x4 TDI 184 with RRP in quartz grey (same colour new name). Haven't had a proper photo opportunity yet so what you get is this one from the parking garage. I went with black window trims and roof bars, vRS grille surround and Scout door strips. The Scout was nice as well, but didn't completely win me over, felt as if it was always trying too much. With the black details on dark paint (it's not quite that dark out in daylight) I was hoping to give it a bit of that rugged, can-do look. The winter wheels have also had a gun metal / anthracite treatment (not pictured here) and will have 205/60R16 tyres. Depending on how they look I may yet do something about the Denoms and the tyre profile for next summer. All in all very pleased with the car so far!
  3. Recently bumped into one for the EA288 family specifically (unsurprisingly not very different from your document): http://www.fichier-pdf.fr/2014/05/17/ssp-840233-ea288-diesel-engine-family/ssp-840233-ea288-diesel-engine-family.pdf And probably hundreds of self-study program documents in PDF form under the index pages here: http://www.volkspage.net/technik/ssp/index_eng.php Some are quite dated, but some have recent enough information to be relevant for a long time to come. About Haldex coupling, gearboxes (manual, torque converting, DSG), ESP systems, power steering, variable valve timing, [insert favourite term here]...
  4. Hi all, As I have placed an order for a new Octavia Combi 4x4, I thought I should stop lurking in the shadows. I've found these forums very helpful. Hello! -niko-
