  1. The 2 centre cylinders were firing abnormally with 1 a bit high and the other low.
  2. I have a 1.9tdi VRS and the engine is misfiring whilst the car is sat at idle or 100rpm ish and with gentle acceleration at 1700rpm ish. I have been told the injector loom could be to blame or maybe something to do with the cam. Any advise or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  3. That's exactly my issue I have. No codes and problem is on idle and gentle acceleration
  4. No faults came up on vcds but 2 of the cylinders were performing a bit strangely.
  5. I've had it cleaned and had vag test done. I had a specialist give a quick look at it and he said injector or possible cam issue causing it to misfire. I was just wondering if there were any easy tricks I could use to test things myself.
  6. I think I may have an injector issue. It seems quite specific. If I hold the revs at 1000 whilst stationary the engine will judder quite a bit and if I hit 1700 rpm whilst applying gentle acceleration once again it will judder. I'm quite sure it's not anything to do with the EGR as that was the first think I had checked with no faults at all. I've also had the DMF checked recently too. Having the clutch up or down makes no difference to the issue. Does anyone have any things I could do to try and narrow it down? Thanks!
  7. I was told about the loom going brittle. If nothing improves with the injector cleaner etc. (I don't think it'll make any difference) then they will go more in depth to find the issue. He did say that he's nearly 100% certain it's not the DMF which is good news as that and the clutch will be £600+
  8. It may have something to do with the Cam but it is fairly unlikely. I've been given some injector and turbo cleaner to run for 1/2 tank to see if it improves it at all. Then the garage will have a more in depth look at the engine.
  9. I've had the car looked at by a vw skoda specialist and it appears that the vibrations and engine juddering are due to 1 or 2 of the injectors not performing properly. The guy was very helpful and connected up the VAG and showed me how the cylinders are performing differently at certain rev ranges.
  10. I am getting the car looked at by some skoda specialists then hopefully I will know where I stand. After describing the symptoms they straight away said it sounds like DMF wear. I've recently had to spend £500 on the car on brakes, calipers and tyres etc so I'm not getting rid of it. Besides its a great car. In answer to the mpg. If I thrash it around I get 40-45mpg but normal and motorway 50-60 mpg.
  11. No I've got to replace the calipers due to them being siezed up. I can only get the green replacement ones.
  12. I need to get some new rear calipers for my VRS SE which are the red ones . I can only find genuine mint green ones and I don't trust the red ones on eBay as they don't appear to be genuine skoda parts. Is there anywhere I can get them in red or do I have to paint them myself? Cheers!
  13. Has anyone who has had this issue or known someone who has experienced problems putting the car into gear? The vibration on idle is continuing even with the clutch down but it's less noisy than with it up. Also has anyone experience engine juddering whilst driving? I know this is an expensive thing to have fixed so I'm trying to get a better idea of it before I get the garage to have a look.
  14. I have to say the vibration continues even when the clutch is down.
