Hi - how do I get the wing mirror cover off ?? I see 2 torx under the mirror but am guessing these hold the motor in place. It is just the cover I want to remove. Cheers

Hi all just a quick enquiry - I have just been on holiday and en-route the shoes on the near side began grinding. Now home I am going to replace the shoes - my query is - do I replace the drums too whilst at it ??? Thanks in advance

Hi all - today on my mk1 Octavia all was fine then after I set off at traffic lights the red brake warning light / handbrake light illuminated & there is a beep beep beep continuously. I checked the fluid level and its full, pads & discs are fine on front. It has drums & shoes on back but I think these are OK as handbrake works fine and locks on without pulling handbrake too high. Any suggestions ???? The noise is annoying and I am hoping it's a simple fix. Thanks in advance......

Hi I have just installed the Pioneer SPH DA-120 CarPlay system and not my Mk1 Octavia (2004) is there any way I can get volume steering controls to work ??? Do I need a special lead ??? Any advice appreciated.

Hi I am after some quick advice... I have a 2004 MK1 Octavia with original factory fit stereo (single din) which has the little single din storage space under the stereo... I am wanting a double din stereo in and so my question is this - do i need a double din cage or is there one in that holds the current stereo and storage area ??? Thanks in anticipation.... Stu

Hi Everyone I am a newbie and just joined the site after buying my 04 (MK1) Octavia yesterday - immaculate vehicle, 1 owner and only 50k... My advice is - what is my best option for aftermarket stereo ??? Should i stick with single din with bluetooth or go for double din - if i went for double din i would prefer touch screen... Also i have an iphone so would need BT Audio ideally..... and if possible one with USB so i can charge my iphone up at the same time.... Has anyone got any advice of units that are recommended and what extras are needed..... Thanks in advance :sun:
