  1. My fuel economy has gone down 5mpg since the colder weather and darker nights. I put it down to longer for engine to warm up, lights on, heater on, seat warming on etc... Should return higher in summer
  2. Absolutely right, this citigo (2013) you have to depress the gear stick, same as my sisters 2015 Mii, whereas my tractor just slides into reverse.
  3. Ok, cheers for the info, looking to trade it in if I can't make it stop, can anyone confirm if newer models have different gearbox oil?
  4. The gear box on my 75 elegance is now almost no longer tolerable. I've had a 13 plate citigo as a courtesy car and it's practically silent compared to mine, has anyone figured out what's causing the noise? Many thanks
  5. Had this issue on my 3 year old citigo greentech, wasn't start stop, was a faulty / dirty o2 sensor. Took it out, squirted out with brake cleaner and as good as new. I'd take it back to dealers if you only just got it.
  6. That's the wrong game, the right game is how many miles once the fuel gauge shows empty!
  7. I use mp3tag to rename the files so they go %disc% - %track% - %title% I also ensure the track number is always 2 digits like "01, 02, 03....09,10" as opposed to "1,2,3..9,10" to make sure the files are played in the correct order.
  8. I've heard good stuff about the climair ones and they're the ones you'd get from vw for the up
  9. I'd used mine on cold for the really hit period we had then not used it for a few weeks and it stuck like my toddlers full nappy. I then ran it on full heat with a/c on for 15 minutes with windows down and that got rid of smell. Think I'll be blasting it at least once a week moving forward, never has this issue with previous cars though.
  10. I think the tractor like noise is actually from the oval shaped timing gear slackening and loosening, any thoughts?
  11. 34k on bridgestone tyres with 3mm on front and 6mm on back
  12. The tyre sensor works by calculating differing wheel speeds. I believe to reset this you press a button near the gear stick
  13. Garmin is faster and more features but both just about do the job to get you from a to b. Google maps is obviously better but that's constantly updated and has the benefit of an internet connection for traffic and better searches etc.
  14. I align both seats so when I use one I simply match it to the other. Been looking all over to find a way of retro fitting the memory option
  15. I mainly used to do it when someone was tailgating me to scare them with flashing brake lights, can't do that no more. I'd describe my experience of hill hold would be clutch judder from 1st. More annoying than anything, anyway to disable it?
  16. I've found that if I touch the brake pedal with my left foot while keeping my foot on the accelerator pedal the computer throttles the power for about a second.
  17. I've just started getting this and have put it down to slightly cooler weather recently. Considering adjusting the linkage cables but can't find any guides online for our new gearbox. Have also noticed the tractor like sound while in neutral that I've not noticed before, I'm sure it's all a characteristic of the gearbox...
  18. Thanks all, I'm comforted now and glad it's nothing else I have to take to get repaired under warranty.
  19. Just taken my new (used) citigo for its first clean after 500 miles and the hand car wash guys used a pressure washer. The rear brakes are now squealing heavily, is this normal, and if not how much to put right?
  20. When the car uses more than 2 speakers I had issues with voice quality. The unit has to work to cancel the noise from the speakers so they aren't returned back to the caller. With 4 or 6 speakers the minimal noise delay caused by the sound being delayed by milliseconds traveling from the rear to the front of the car caused noise and made the calls highly unusable.
  21. http://www.tyreleader.co.uk/steel-wheels/skoda/citigo/1-0mpi-20085?utm_source=compare%26utm_medium=google-shopping%26utm_campaign=tole&gclid=CjwKEAjwiZitBRCy0pb3rIbG9XwSJACmuvvzXmhQkDbwN_byaJUajV3kOb2dzCGYY23mtAkWHc7jqhoCOHPw_wcB Just in case anyone is interested, you can pick up the steelies and winters on that site for £202 all in.
  22. Just got 70mpg on easy home from work mostly up hill. While the pid isn't entirely accurate I think simply having the display on really makes you think about economy and is worthwhile using.
  23. Sorry to resurrect an old thread but.... I had a mii with the additional speakers and when making calls via the pid Bluetooth the noise cancellation failed miserably unless I turned the fader onto front speakers only. Now I have a citigo with only front speakers the calls are acceptable, although by means fantastic. Has anyone managed to swap out the head unit for one of the newer ones while retaining pid functionality?
  24. Wow, that could be really dangerous, hope no one was hurt. Was considering doing this now it's on the must list.
