  1. Excellent point Cheshire Bumpkin I had not spotted that as I responded to the email prompt. I guess laws are really to protect road users so what could be dangerous here would I guess be dangerous in other countries with or without a law.
  2. Having fog lights on with no reduced visibility is illegal? see http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1989/1796/regulation/27/made
  3. Good luck... it looks good. Was the any hidden files???
  4. Hi I know how frustrating it can be...download Clean MY Drive 2 from App store and it will clean up your card. The Mac puts hidden files on the card which the columbus does not like. Clean the disc and then add file lock then eject but don't go into Finder after cleaning as it may put more hidden files on there. Hope this helps.... PS there should be two folders MIB1 and 2 plus the one file nothing else. Note you may have hidden files still on the card if you have used it in your MAC.
  5. CTRob its FOC because the commission and freebies they get is so high on this product they show in the invoice you have had it and cover it off from their car profit.
  6. Note - If anyone is using a MAC to download files then you will need to remove files added by Mac's finder I downloaded the app Clean My Drive 2 to clean up the SD card and everything worked first time.
  7. Interior mirror came off when we had our crash in mkII too. Looks like its a feature. I did wonder whether it was that hitting me that caused by bad shoulder.
  8. I have the Petrol Blue exterior excellent beige leather interior and both go excellently together but not the rear camera. I had a camera in a previous car but you do need to be careful as you can easily get into the habit of looking at screen and not where you are going.
  9. I thought it was a different terminology. Many thanks to both for the clarification.
  10. I have an L&K so forgive me if it is different....on the ACC control lever you can adjust the distance +/- and when I am not paying attention the ACC will bring me to a halt well before the car in front. From start I then have to blip the accelerator to restart. Hope this helps....
  11. Sorry Gizmo68 I forgot to add mine:- reedfarmer - L&K Estate 2.0 TDI 190PS DSG 4x4, Petrol Blue Metallic, Beige interior, Smart Light Assist, Vented Seats, Spare wheel.

  13. Mine comes on when the display is switched off i.e. left button pressed.
  14. The L&K is absolutely great choice. The leather seats are only available in Brown or Beige. I have had both are they are equally as good. see https://tools.skoda.co.uk/content/brochure/brochure_superb2015.pdf
  15. Hi was it this site you were looking for from l4wrence http://www.roofbox.co.uk/dogs-pets-carriers/ This was his original link http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/367311-the-superb-iii-picture-thread/page-16?hl=%2Bdog#entry4511740 There were some pictures in comment #352 that you maybe referring to???
  16. Hi I had exactly same issue and had to raise case with Skoda UK as I could not get order number. Others on this forum get an order number at point of order so insist on it or walk or buy online. Ordered mine in July and got it December. If I was ordering again in retailer (will buy online next time) I would go to whoever gave me an order at the point of sale or walk. My view is that the retailers are smoothing registrations for own benefit and not the customers needs. Also ask for status report each week as Skoda say its retailers task to do this. Hope this helps....
  17. I think your rant may have been in the wrong direction as some of these people were on your side and trying to help you. If you can concentrate on the facts and lose any emotion which I understand maybe difficult given your experience then the cold light of day may make decision making easier. (it certainly helps me and some of us have been through similar experiences- I had it with Caravan which was replaced) Your unhappiness appears to be related to only the engine noise but it has gone on a long time and has now soured your experience of what is still a great car. You must have thought this when you decided to buy it like others who also agreed with you. It has not changed just your perspective. Given that you have been made an offer which appears good to me and others and that £2k for 11k miles is indeed good value and a hire car of similar status vehicle would definitely be a lot more. If you now have a new car in say 4 months time then the new one will be almost a year newer than the original and all it will have cost is the repayments with no depreciation and your mileage will be back to zero. You will also have a different car which will be without the fault and your payments will be in the value of the new car. Always helps me to have 2 pieces of paper to write down all the pros on one and cons on another and then you can make a reasoned decision on a way forward.
  18. Yes I can definitely hear noise. I went down similar route long time ago in getting a replacement caravan under section ?? of goods not fit for purpose act and I did get a new one but it took a while. You will need to return the car now to a dealer and get a receipt and then write to Skoda specifically to say you are rejecting it under the act and wish to have a replacement. If you carry on with it then the law assumes you have accepted it. Hope this helps.
  19. I know what you mean about the tray open. The manual warns about not leaving it open! I managed to take mine off but took a while. I have glued mine over holiday but minus the spring and I await a replacement from the excellent guys at Skoda.
  20. Excellent. Glad you are sorted. I am waiting to hear from Skoda? Photos gone off and referenced your issue.
  21. No problem. Skoda are contacting me tomorrow so I will mention it to them. Likewise will advise.
  22. Sorry Jon meant to add we had a MkII as well and it still is our preference to the VW. Whilst awaiting delivery we had on hire a Mercedes ML350 and a Jeep Grand Cherokee and yet again my wife and I still prefer the Superb 4x4. Hope this helps.
