  1. There is now a VAG Independant in spennymoor and the guys are Audi Master Techs. Shame I only found this out after I sold my Beloved VRS :(
  2. I had a set of Bosch AR533S from Wiperblades and they were great, miles better than the OEM Skoda ones.
  3. Well it honestly sounds like everyone had the same experience as myself... I even spent an hour there one time arguing that the radio booster was required for the radio to work properly on an aftermarket HU ! I never went back after that...and tbh totally spoiled my skoda experience.... I've now left the fold and own a Saab!
  4. I second that, Cliff is a cracker.. Cliff sold me my Fabia VRS. He used to work at a ford dealer in St. Helens Auckland.. only left them when the owner sold up and closed the dealership. I've had a couple of warranty jobs done by them and tbh I wasnt convinced. Rich
  5. I live in Durham and I'd be interested in having cruise fitted! :-)
  6. I do pop into Cineworld/Asda at Boldon often on the way home from work at around 7pm. However I was there a couple of weeks back around 2pm to see Die Hard There was another black vrs in our car park the other day, I didnt recognise it.
  7. You may see me blasting about... I live in Spennymoor and work in Cobalt Park Newcastle 55 Plate Silver Fabia VRS as for exhausts I'm not sure, you could try EDMAR in Spennymoor they may be able to help you out, or at least try to flog you a set of Toyos :P Rich
  8. Simon thats the route I took, as boot space is important for me. The only problem I encountered was the speakers that I choose (Inifinty Kappas) were 2ohms and required an amp to drive them. I am extremely pleased with the sound that the system produces, esp as I found a switch on the amp which has effectively turned the 6x9s into poor mans subs.
  9. Hi Simon, I just bought the adapters from CAD at the same times as my HU however you can also pick them up from halfrauds! The tweeters do fit behind the covers perfectly, just need a little blob of glue to hold them nice and tight. I broke on of my covers due to being a big too rough when clipping it all back together, so I've trimmed one of them with black speaker cloth and I have to say it looks OK, just need to find the time to trim the other side. Hope that helps Rich
  10. After reading this thread I ordered a set of Aerotwins from WiperBlades and I have to say they're brill, well worth it esp at the moment! oh guess what ... its raining again ! :thumbdwn:
  11. Well after reading this thread I ordered the SEAT foam noise thingy and I have to say its made a pretty noticable difference. Rich
  12. It is at that ! however.. everyone keeps saying good things about it so why not Does anyone know if it will fit a non PD 1.9 from an 02 Octy ? rich
  13. I've just ordered one from VAGParts should be here in the next couple of days
  14. Both rear doors leaked quite badly. Fixed under warranty by Philip Wilks Skoda.
  15. I had Toyos fitting to mine a month or so ago.
