    The latest firmware introduces a basic parking protection. When the power switches off the camera can be set to record on motion detection until the battery dies. 
    If you plan to wire it into a permanent live (through a power magic for example) just set the camera to record on motion detection with a long time-out and it'll record while driving or stationary.
