I've lost all confidence in Simpsons now. I contacted Skoda UK for an update last week, only to be told that the car was at the dealers. Spoke to Simpsons who arranged hand over for today: Tuesday 11/08. I made arrangements for child care for the day. Arranged a lift to travel the 2 1/2 hour drive to Colne. Got told yesterday that they're still waiting for VWFS to release the car to me. I rang VWFS who wouldn't speak with me without the car's reg number. Re-contacted Simpsons only to be told they hadn't allocated a reg yet. I can't remember ever dealing with a company who I have had to chase as much as them.

I've seen on here a few people tracking the progress of their build: delivery. I've tried to track mine via http://www.trackmyskoda.co.uk However when I put my order number in it just says: "Thank you for your enquiry - Your order is currently awaiting a manufacturing build date" however I spoke to SUK on Friday and they confirmed it was being built this week (week 30). Very confusing.

Ordered my boot liner from SuperSkoda. It came from Czech Rep in 4 days and is better quality than the main dealer supplied boot liners on my previous couple of cars. My Octavia hast been delivered yet so can't comment on fit. Off the top of my head it worked out at €51 delivered to the UK.

Ordered week 22, build week confirmed as week 30. VRS TDI Estate. Standard spec with free amusden, brilliant silver with Gemini anthracite wheels.

I took the £1990 upfront + 23 @ £199 for VRS Tdi estate. I paid £250 upfront over the phone and I was told by Bob this would come off the £1990 when I collect.

Cheers Skodev. I only really want to get an idea as my Mrs is due to give birth in the not too distant future and I had to sell my car a few weeks ago. Think it will be my fastest run home from work if she goes into labour.

On the subject of Simpsons. I ordered a VRS TDI estate on 26th May from Bob. I'm told Bob has subsequently left Simpsons. I was given a delivery estimate by Bob of last week of July/ first week August. I rang Simpsons a couple of weeks ago and the new sales person I'm now dealing with said it would be 'some time in August'. I checked with SUK having read this forum and you can track your car's build/ delivery online. Great I thought. I can keep an eye on it and not have to pester Simpsons. But they couldn't find my order because Simpsons ordered so many on the same day. I rang Simpsons today to ask for the order number so I could track it, a fairly simple request I though. The person on the phone couldn't answer. No problem, just e-mail it to me. Half a day later, nothing. I just hope they haven't made a massive **** up and that's why I can't get a straight answer. Anyone else have a similar experience?
