Hi all I need a new water pump + cam belt on my 2011 Octavia. Bit distraught that the main dealer are quoting me £459 for what I was hoping would just be a split pipe somewhere! Anybody have recommendations for independent Skoda / VW repairs in the Midlands - specifically Nuneaton or Coventry. (Another local independent near me has quoted £475 but I dont think he wants the work.) Thanks in advance!

Useful thread - my Octavia started leaking water on Friday...guess what...new water pump and cam belt needed. 52,000 miles, not even 4 years old. £459 at my local dealer. At least I know now that it is a genuine problem and they aren't just ripping me off - so thanks everyone. Still a bit poor for a car only just out of warranty though!
