  1. Hi thanks for you're replies I've managed to get to the bottom of it, My bad luck the new lock was faulty got the replacement stuck it in and bingo all working fine and has also just passed mot for £40 not bad for an mk2.
  2. The old lock wouldn't open, which reading a forum on here is a common fault and thus needed replacing, I'd tried the fix from the handle but deduced to it being the lock itself.
  3. Hello I've recently replaced a rear door lock to my octavia mk2, Everything seemed to go as planned however when testing the lock it won't actually lock the door and when I long press lock on keyfob the mirrors fold in all doors lock except the door with the new lock in and for some reason the window goes half way down on the same door. I've checked all wiring looms which check out. Does the lock require any setup with the computer or key fob or have I been unlucky and received a faulty part?
